Her eyes snapped open as her nails dug into the soft dirt. Dreamless sleep was nirvana to Silver, yet she could not reach it. She was asleep for 35 minutes before the nightmare took over. Her heart was beating like an African drum against her ribcage. A headache rippled against the left side of her brain, causing her paw to rub it to try and ease the pain. Its been like this for a long time, though never this bad. She laid still on the ground, her paw returning from her head and rested against her. A soft breath escaped her lungs before her icy eyes shut once again.

Her nirvana didn't happen, for another vision formed in her head. A grey and white snowstorm enveloped her in the heart of her homeland. Screams of terror filled with air as chilling winds blew through Silver's fur. Waves of red discolored her, crashing her onto the ground as vermillion red stained every inch of her body. And all she could see was him. His corpse lay slaughtered on the ground, birds picking at it before taking off. He looked so innocent, however, his expression was full of pain and betrayal. She had caused that, she was the reason he looked unsettled even in death. She turned her head like a blind eye. Then all of the sudden- noise, noise, noise. Screams of bloody murder, disturbing sounds of bones snapping and flesh tearing- it was too much.

Again, she shot awake. But this time, she sat up automatically. Hot tears edged against her irises, threatening to give in and roll down the fluffy cheeks. Silver shook her head, wiping them away with her paw before settling back down. This time, her eyes remained wide open as she forced herself to stay awake. Insomnia was too strong for her to deal with at the moment.

Nemesis had victory, a title she wore with a dangerous pride. They had outed the rat that was the false King, Burke, who had only truly cared about fucking his whore of a partner, Malice; a good for nothing wench that had given birth to two sickly bastards with nothing to their name but a failed Alpha and another failed Alpha. In the times that followed, she found peace knowing that her rebellion had not been for nothing, that in the end she had obtained what little she had left to deserve. Nemesis had hardly ever deserved much but yet she had taken it all. What was there that she did not have? She had a lover, a place of power, a dark woods to reside, and unknowingly, children housed inside of her. As she strolled through the woods clensed of disappointment, a feeling began to stir within her; an odd feeling of nausea that she had not experianced before. Her feet stummbled to a stop, heavy breathing to return her state to normal. She swallowed relentlessly, attempting to push down the bile that threatened to rise in her throat. Yet, she did not understand. She did not get sick, she hardly ever had. Perhaps it was a diseased meat she had unknowinly eaten, for that seemed the only reasonable explanation.

Yet, it seemed she was not the only one feeling of ill weather as she walked on, uneasy feet carrying her elsewhere. But the face she expected to meet as turned the corner was not one she had ever wanted to see again. “You,” She had gone unaware of the changes within her home, and had she, there would be no stranger to greet. Nemesis never let go of a grudge, nor forgot the hatred she felt for the wolves of Moonlit Hills, regardless of the current state of the ex-pack. How could she simply forget the first case of Burke’s betrayal, when instead of punishing those who had attack his Beta, had humiliated her in front of the attackers themselves. The scars that marked her neck was reminder enough that she would die before she seen the day where any other Moonlit wolf was welcome in her pack. “Get out,It was not a suggestion, it was a command from the Alpha herself; one that a mere subordinate could not refuse. Yet, how had the female come to be welcome in the place of darkness, she did not know. Perhaps it had been Damien, unaware of the silvery female’s wrongdoings against the Alpha Female. The stranger would leave, and as soon as she could for a wolf that followed Malice would never truly follow them.

The voice and steps of another made Silver lift her gaze. Her heart fell into the pit of her stomach as she remembered the face of the woman that stood in front of her. She was the insane wolf who attacked Issun, personifying him as something that hurt someone she loved. Silver, knowing very well of the other's position and personality, sunk to the ground in fear. Her eyes reflected proper submission, though her ears flicked forward for a second at the command spoken by the night wanderer.

"Get out." Silver lifted her body slowly, not daring to look at Nemesis' eyes in fear of coming off as a challenge. Although she had her strength and speed, the famine weakened her drastically as her ribs poked through her coat. She was in no shape to put up a fight. "I'm sorry," she whispered, soon moving out of the way of the alpha. "Damien let me join your ranks." It was not Damien's fault, mostly it was Malice's. It seems that she not only ruined her own image, but the others that once ruled with her. Silver was officially screwed because of the fat bitch. "I hope you do not see me as a follower of Malice because of the past," she said as she continued to walk. She wouldn't leave just yet, hopefully, she could find Damien and talk to him.

Even as she thundered upon the stranger who had once dared to raise her teeth upon her, it seemed to still not understand the extent of her anger. The stranger's submission meant nothing to her, for in her eyes, Silver would never bow to the authority of Blackfeather Woods when she had once scowled at it. Malice had been her Alpha once, and who was to say this one wasn't simply here to wreck havoc on them for ruining her precsious mess of her ex-pack? Damien was a fool for letting her in, trusting a Moonlit wolf to be among the very family it's Alpha had destroyed. Yet, that reason was not all she fear for. A maternal instinct had wormed its way into her soul, refusing an enemy be among the home where her current and future children rested. "Had Damien known of what you have done, he would never had allowed you to enter this pack,"

The girl had cowardly shrunk, spewwing out some lies about leaving the past in the past. But, that was not how Nemesis worked. Wolves did not change from what was said in the past to their present day attitude. The past was, and always would be, a reflection of their inner self and coming from a former Moonlit wolf; there was no reason to trust her. "What was it you called me? A crazed animal?" She dared the let the stranger defend herself, advancing towards her with a dominant gaze. Silver could not take back her words, and Nemesis would never forget the insult laid upon her as the other Moonlit wolf had sunk it's teeth into her neck.

She was not having it, her body posture said it all. Words of poison stung Silver to the core, almost feeling insecure about herself. But insecurities were reserved for petty moments, not life-threatening activities. She still did not look up, feeling her nails grip the dirt again. Nemesis was basing Silver off from what she had said, and of course, it was offensive. But what the hell! She literally attacked a friend who did nothing wrong!

Silver looked up a bit to see a newly pregnant wolf step closer, obviously trying to throw her weight around. Silver could not fight off her internal instinct of fleeing, but her own snarl fell from her mouth. She was scared, yes, but not a coward. She didn't match up Nemesis with her stature but did give off a little warning of needing space. Her words of questioning made the girl portray the woman as the inquisition. Did she have the right to be the judge? Well, this was her pack so...

"I protected my friend that you attacked." She deadpanned, still not looking into hell's eyes. "And the words I said-" she said, almost daring herself to step forward, "they were short-lived." Yes, words did hurt, but they were better than wounds. "I was not the one who put the wound in your neck, Nemesis. I was there only to protect my friend, the one you believed killed someone special." She didn't remember the name of the boy, it was only spoken once.

Her brows narrowed, listening to the female retaliate with a sloppy reasoning to her words and actions, yet one that would only benefit Nemesis in her case against her. "The fact that you still defend them means you are not loyal to us, and you never will be," Nemesis had got her where she wanted, for a truly loyal wolf would not have dared to call a Moonlit wolf a friend. Silver was just like Malice. In the end, they had nothing to give, only accepted by default. No doubt Damien had only aqquired the girl over their mutual hate for Malice, rather than the traditional way of prospects for the Brotherhood. Perhaps, Damien was not all as smart as he believed he was, and she was a fool to believe he was capable of making decisions that would benefit them. Inviting a former and current enemy into their pack was not a wise decision at all. It was a Burke decision.

"@Damien may be an Alpha, but so am I, and I will not risk the safety of my home to invite you. Get out,She pushed forward, her footsteps were a threatening action, a course she was willing to take to ensure that this wolf would not walk within their lands again. They did not need a follower of Malice infesting their home, regardless of how she claimed to have changed. Malice herself had done so too, and it had been their downfall. Never would she let that happen again.

I love AWs

The sound of growls that filled the cold silence of Blackfeather Woods brought Damien to his feet. He left the small carcass he was savaging behind deciding that, if his suspicions were true and it was Nemesis' voice he was hearing, perhaps there was something more important that needed his attention.

He saw both females standing ready to take on the other's throats, just in time to hear Nemesis claim she had the right to kick the female out without needing Damien's permission. And that was it. Everything that he'd feared, what Cicero himself had stated and assured him seemed truer every time he saw the flaring wraith. She was unstable, and far from fit to stand at the same level as Damien.

"What is the meaning of this?" growled Damien interrupting Nemesis' command. His stance was clearly a challenge to Nemesis as he held his tail high in domain.

Nemesis was crossing the line with Silver, her plume of fur swayed behind her before starting to make its crawl up. She claimed silver couldn't be loyal if she still protected the moonlit wolves. The moonlit wolves were her friends still, even after disbanding. However, Malice was the only one that Silver truly despised out of everyone.

"Malice is the only wolf that messed Moonlit and Blackfeather up. No wolf in that pack had any fault with the Blackfeather woods pack. You cannot blame me for something they have done." She stated, her nails scraping against tough dirt.

Once more, the phrase 'get out' was spoken. Silver was about to launch herself, but Damien had arrived to stop everything. He even stopped Nemesis from finishing her sentence.

The girl knew very well she could not mess up her chance with staying. She backed away, showing her submission and finally- took a breath. Damien took his position over Nemesis. Silver was unsure of what to say, soon looking down at her paws. "I was resting. Nemesis told me to leave, I stood my ground." That was that. Simple.

She prepared herself for impact, internally hoping the female would lunge just so Nemesis could put her down. A snarl rippled through her maw, her title clearly meant nothing to the disrespectful shit that stood before her. "Do it, if you think you have a chance,"  There was a reason she had earned her way through the ranks, surpassing even Damien as she was the first to lead. She would have no greater happiness that crushing the former moonlit wolves skull within her jaws, one down and many more left to go. However, the attack was halted, to her suprise and disappointment. She turned her head to meet the tone, her eyes narrowing as she took note of who had dared to defy her word. Damien was a notable warrior, but he would never dictate what she did, and he woud do well remembering that for the day he gave her orders would be the end of her time in Blackfeather Woods. Her own tail raised, a look that silently asked him what the hell he thought he was doing. He had no authority over her, for they were equal in that sense. She had been in a position of power long before he had, and if anything, he had the least knowledge on how to run a pack between the both of them.

"Why have you brought a Moonlit wolf into our home? Have you learned nothing from Malice?" Her tone was not of disrespect but sheer disbelief. Was Damien truly that thick? She would never have guessed him to trust the word of a stranger, one who had proven to be painstakingly loyal to Malice and her reign. "We did not kick her and Burke to welcome Moonlit strays, and certianly not one who has already proven to detest the Brotherhood and the wolves within,"

"I do not trust this one," It was a beg for him to trust her just this one time, if he could. She turned away from the girl, to fully meet Damien so that he may understand, leader to leader. Silver was rash, and had a clear lack of sense of authority. It did not help that Nemesis could plainly see Silver's hate for her, and that had her concerned for her children and those yet to be born. If Damien was wise enough to tell, he would expell the female from the territory where she rightfully belonged, or he would prove to be just as disregarding than the last Alpha. Either way, she became unsure of how safe they were with Damien as an Alpha; who clearly believed himself to be far superior than the longstanding leader. But, she knew how he worked. If she was to prove her legitimacy once more to him, only actions would be effective. That was, until she found something she could hold over his head instead.

Black ears twisted back at Silver as she explained what was going on. Damien was facing Nemesis, but his head turned to meet the Tyro's eyes with a stoic face. He nodded, it was alright, and she needed not fear. Then he turned back to Nemesis, who had a speech of her own. He clutched his tongue to hear her out.

"I brought her because she seemed fit," Damien stated strongly, and there was little Nemesis could discuss about it. Then, he realized that Nemesis still needed to know what he'd found out in his travels for her to have a clearer background on why Silver was allowed to join. "Moonlit Hills is no more, Malice's abandonment caused the pack to disband," informed the dark prince trying to calm down and discuss this like a proper leader.

"We spoke about Malice." said Damien, referring to Silver and himself. "Turns out the whore has caused Silver as many problems as she did to us. We have an enemy in common, and the pack is running thin on numbers," he argued. But then came a statement that made him hold back his tongue once more.

"I do not trust this one"

A long silence followed, during which Damien's eyes trailed from Nemesis to Silver, and back again to Nemesis. "She's still on probation. We can decide if she stays in two weeks, and I will hear you then." he spoke, as if asking Nemesis to give Silver a chance.

She watched quietly as the two bickered about themselves. Although Silver was already causing problems here, she really hoped she would stay. Nemesis and Silver may not see eye-to-eye, but they at least had something in common. But something about Nemesis made Silver wary. It was not her attitude, nor personality. It was her instability. She looked as if she rules over trauma, past experiences, and emotion. Damien ruled calmly and ruled with the present.

the tyro remained quiet, hearing the word probation fall from the master's lips. Yes she was on probation, but she didn't want Nemesis to mess shit up for her. What happened in the past stays in the past, and it shouldn't obscure what can happen in the present or future. Knowing that the black woods may not welcome her, Silver would still try to prove her point. But until then, she waited.

The news of Moonlit Hills failment did not come as a suprise, but a confrimation of her suspcions. What else could she expect? It was Malice, slower than an ox and wider than one too. But, it also showed how incompetent the Moonlit wolves were also; the lack of Malice should have done no harm to them but a trouble of electing a new Alpha. If they could not even uphold their own home with the loss of a shitty leader, what credibility did the silvery wolf standing before her have, to be accepted into a place of high prestige? Yet, she did not dwell on the eye-rollable discovery; it was the least of her problems.

"Many problems? I don't recall that being the case when you attacked me defending her," She did not believe one word of it. Silver obviously only claimed to hate Malice after the female had left them for Burke, leaving the Moonlit pack butt-hurt and sad. No matter, Damien could believe what he liked, his lack of judgement was not her concern. Her duty was to clean up the mess after it had been made, not start a new one.

"Very well. Whatever she does is on you," And with that, she turned her attention away from the debate, yet the smallest bit pleased that Damien had somehow learned his place from the very abrupt encounter. Damien would rule, and he would rule gloriously, but he knew nothing of experiance. He would have to learn that the world would never bow at his feet the way he acted it did, the way she had to learn she could not control everything; no matter her rank. Yet, she knew a rebel from the rest, for she had been one herself. Silver was not a Blackfeather wolf, and never would she be. Her emotions for others, enemies of the Dark Brotherhood, were still evident within her words, her defensive tone. Regardless of what Silver believed, Nemesis was not a reckles emotional. However, she had learned through trials of great distress, that the past always caught up with the present; nobody ever truly changed.

She turned away from Damien; giving him one last look that spoke volumes of urgency. They needed to speak. Many things were on the rise for the dark pack, and the sooner they met, the sooner the plans were in progress.

Yet as she passed, an irrtation for the silvery girl's presence scratched at the back of her mind. She paused in her foot steps, her head turning to meet the eyes of the stranger. "The next time you dare to defy me will be the last time you have a tongue," And that was a promise. No other in Blackfeather Woods got away with speaking to Nemesis like Silver had, not even Damien, and a former Moonlit wolf would be no acception to her wrath, for she was not afraid to harm the girl, even if it looked traitorus. Silver was not a Blackfeather wolf; and her disapperance was inevitable.

That was, if Nemesis could help it.

Posting from mobile! Sorry in advance for any typos, I checked but probably missed a couple!

With every word she spoke, Nemesis seemed to work hard to prove Cicero right. She was nothing but pure rage contained in the fprm of a wolf, and could present a big problem for Damien if not focused on the right things. But she was right about many things Damien didn't even know. He did not have the experience to rule the pack on his own, and Silver was a risky card just to mention a few things.

"Leave us," Damien barked loudly at Silver the moment he noticed the urgency in Nemesis' stare, and fixed his glare on his co-leader's cold eyes.

"Speak whatever you must and do it loud. I will not be taking your insolence, Nemesis," said Damien brashly, referring to the boldness of her look. If they were going to share the leadership then there were lines to be drawn, because clearly Nemesis did not know where to stop.

The tension between the two leaders grew, making the girl wary of the heavy aura and situation. Harsh words were exchanged to her, and this time, Silver said nothing. She knew very well what Nemesis was capable of, and decided it was best to not get on her bad side. "I won't defy your place, Nemesis." She said clearly, wanting to show that she didn't want to be seen as a threat.

Silver had emotions that ruled over her at times, making her act without thought. She knew this and wanted to get rid of it. Her head in the clouds of thoughts was brought back to earth at the loud bark of Damien. Nodding her head, the tyro left the two alone and decided to go and try to relax. She didn't want to leave just because of what happened in the past.

She didn't want to be enemies with Nemesis, she didn't want to fight all the time, she didn't want anything like the whole situation to occur anymore. She just wanted peace and quietness.

is lowkey nervous about damien's reply

She eyed the female as she departed, though the affirmation of her rule was a tad bit assuring. But no matter, the truth would come to light. And in time, she would prove to be right as she always was. In any case, she could not really blame Damien for making the wrong decision, he was a new leader after all. He knew next to nothing.

But his words were not excepted, and her attention snapped back to him as did her head. Her face was of shock, though her brow furrowed and her eyes narrowed slowly as she fully took in what he has addressed her as. "Excuse me?" She had heard him, but she was in fury that he had dared to call her out as such in front of a lower rank. The amount of disrespect it took was whole fully arrogant, even for Damien. She had expected better, in an honest opinion. "Insolence," She repeated, barely believing it but taking it in at the same time. "You act as if you know everything about being an alpha just because it is your birth right," It came out in a light scowl, though she did not directly insult him but state an honest fact. What did he truly know? What had he been taught and by who by? Nothing and nobody. There was a line, and Damien did not know where it was. He drew his own lines and expected everyone to obey, but he did not know wolves like she did, for she had seen the same thing countless times before.

"The decisions I make and the way I act are for the good of this pack, so please don't act like I do not know what I am doing," She counter-reacted, for he looked at her as if she was unstable. She was not unstable, her words and actions were completely warranted, for her hostility was not to be confused for rage but of protectiveness against a foreign wolf with a bad rep. "I have been doing this a lot longer than you have, boy," It was true. By now, she had learned to approach these wolves with a certain hostility, and with wild cards like Silver, that was only heightened. Damien did not understand, but as he grew, he would.  Or at least, she hoped

Damien wouldn't simply let her go, so this is not the end of it...

Cold eyes stared down at Nemesis, locking glares in a match of dominance. His tail rose higher too, seeking to out-rule his co-alpha's aggressive response. Blackfeather Woods had never defined itself as an hereditary monarchy, but it was clear now that Damien had always been the only heir to his mother's claim, "There is a reason you came to me when you decided Burke wasn't fit to lead," he stated blatantly, she needed him. But it wasn't enough for Nemesis to only threaten him, she had to degrade him to a lower level and attempt to humiliate him with questionable charges.

Damien didn't hold back a growl, and his own scowl became a furious, teeth-flashing gloom. He had no temper for this shit, and despite his initial thoughts Nemesis had gone all overboard with her response. He had expected her to apologize, and he had given her one chance, but she had gone way too far. He steps in Nemesis' way, preventing her to leave and stares right down at her. 'Boy', she called him, and that was the drop hat overflowed the cup. He was not going to take Nemesis' shit. But before he made a move he remembered Kove, and the seed he had planted on the female before him for the future of the Dark Brotherhood. The midnight fur of Damien's turf bristles and his white-patched chest rumbles with a huge 'FUCK YOU' in the form of a booming roar after which Damien was left almost breathless. He had to let off the steam, for the last thing he wanted was to harm his probably only friend's lover and co-leader.

There were truths coming from both ends. Damien was young and precocious, with an elevated image of himself, but he had the popular affection for and loyalty to his name. And Nemesis had as much claim to the pack as the short-serving right hand to a traitor ex-leader, but she possessed some of the Experience Damien lacked. Could either rule without the other? Damien had an answer for himself, and it wasn't either yes or no.

"I will not share my mother's crown with you," decided the male with all the authority and composure he could gather after he re-gained his breath. "If you wish to serve this pack and do honor to your word you will do it under my command and respect my authority, otherwise there is no reason for me to keep you around," he stated, "There isn't enough worth in you to inherit my mother's title."
