Heartha had heard what happened. Alder running away, Rowan dead. It was heartbreaking to hear, she had stayed in the den for some time. She wondered if her own pups would be safe in the future. She wanted to protect even more. But, with her having sworn her duty as a den mother to @Aspen, she had to check on her. Losing a child was hard. Losing a mate at the same time made it even harder. And Heartha knew from experience both of those.
So she howled to Aspen, saying she was coming as well as the intention for why, then set out to meet the queen, hoping to catch her in the alpha den.
