Private

With two plump rabbits hanging from his mouth did he enter Easthollow again, finding it rather sad he could not bring much more to the table without a stable hunting partner to understand his signing and strange way of communicating. Still, a ghostly smile played upon his whitened lips as he decided to begin another cache. With determination did he walk up to a tree, bending to put down the bodies before he started digging - dirt and other things flinging behind him and staining his white belly.

Thanks for starting <3

Ezekiel had been feeling much better lately, Steady's death was hardly on his mind anymore. He only thought about his best friend when he saw the stars, and even then he only thought of his good memories with the male. He still missed him, but having mended his relationship with Valette he was feeling better. Today he'd gone inland, for the first time in a while he'd actually decided to try and meet some of the newer pack mates. Up until today he knew Krypton, Valette, and those two pups he'd met that time. Everyone else was barely even an acquaintance.

He caught onto the scent of a male that he knew to be this pack's delta. He seemed a quiet guy, which Ezekiel liked. He had never liked big noisy wolves, they were too much trouble. The stoic preferred the quiet, collected ones. He soon found the other male, digging a hole in the ground with two rabbits near him. Ezekiel moved out of the way of the dirt path, then barked to get the other's attention.

He had not expected visitors to look at him work for his "family". Perhaps The Wise Ones wanted other souls to know he was pure enough to not be strongly punished for his defiance. A puppet he had become, yet if he were put up to it again he'd bite off any part of himself to remain alive. This life had become too precious for him, even without a way to speak. He froze, as a ghost would, and turned to see a male older than him, sporting a magnificent coat of greys and eyes of frosted-over flowers. It was strange to see how he stood - muscled, tall and strong - as the delta noted his own, nimble and boney frame that hadn't held muscles yet. He didn't need them as long as he could flee faster than anyone, and he was certain his ghostly figure could dance more gracefully over the fields than many.

He tipped his sunken skull to the side, flopping his ears with it as if asking what he was doing here. There certainly was nothing interesting about a mute boy and his work that could very well be done by anyone. Golden-ringed eyes sparkled from underneath white brows, interested and curious.

The other male didn't speak when he turned to face Ezekiel, instead he looked Ezekiel over and tipped his head to the side. The lack of a verbal greeting was a bit of a surprise, but Ezekiel didn't mind. Maybe this male wasn't just quiet, maybe he didn't speak at all. This interested Ezekiel, made him even more curious that he already was. He trotted closer to the younger wolf, and circled around him, sniffing and investigating him. He was no warrior, from what Ezekiel could see.

The brute took a few steps back, then spoke in his low rumbling voice, I'm Ezekiel. Your name?

Anything but a fighter the young ghost was, yet he still held a position higher than most. He could not brag about it, could merely let others do it without his approval, for he was not that kind of boy. Great that Valette found him to be a Delta, but he found the title didn't quite fit him. All he could do was keep the caches filled up with small game and keep the ones he had become close to happy in their hard times.

The question the other asked was one he had heard many times before, yet one he could not answer. He opened his maw, wiggling his stump of a tongue around with a strange, strained sound to make that clear.

When Ezekiel asked for the other male's name, the other opened his mouth and waggled his stumpy tongue about. Ezekiel was surprised for a moment, because it looked very uncomfortable, but he did not let it show very much. He had his fair share of scars, it seemed so did this kid. Ezekiel nodded to show that he understood. He wondered briefly if anyone in the pack knew this guy's name, or if he'd gone nameless to them all. He'd have to ask someone later about it.

He trotted forwards and stopped a little closer to the other male. Ezekiel knew that the male wouldn't be able to answer anything other than yes or no questions, so he asked, You are a hunter, will you hunt with me?

The ghost was anything but nameless; so many on his journey, and now here, had given him a name that fitted him. Comla, Casper, Quiet - he had a long list if he was being honest. Secretly he hoped Ezekiel would grant him a name as well and not try and guess his real one like some had attempted. It came from his past and had nothing to do with him anymore - it seemed The Wise Ones agreed.

At the question asked, Calloon nodded regally with a slight bow, flopping his ears a few times to show he was at least interested in going hunting with a new friend. Excited he would become whenever they were actually actively hunting.

The small ghost dipped his head and flopped his ears to show that he was interested, and to that Ezekiel let his tail sway. He was always up to do something active. Usually he preferred sparring, but he got the feeling this guy would rather do something else. So hunting it was. Ezekiel walked past his new companion, pausing to sniff at the freshly dug cache. It looked good enough, and could probably hold some more. He looked over his shoulder and jerked his head in the direction he planned on going, an invitation to follow him.

Ezekiel had smelled a rabbit warren near his den, but he hadn't checked it out yet. He decided maybe now would be a good time. He made his way towards his home, which was a simple dug out hole at the base of a hill. A large tree on top of the hill provided shade from the sun, and he'd filled his little crevice with lots of moss and stuff. It wasn't too big or fancy, but it was enough for him. When they made it there he trotted towards his den and nudged at a mound of moss, just indicating to his companion that this was where he slept.

He moved around the hill down towards a small patch of flowers, in the midst of them there was a hole and a thick rabbit scent. This was it alright. He turned back to the other hunter and said quietly, Show me how you would flush a rabbit from its warren.

the two males hunted the rabbits and managed to flush one out. The white wolf took it back to the cache and let Ezekiel go about his day.
