lord knows it was time to head out on the road again—
olive was doing well, and the kids, too. the wolves of elysium had stepped up to help her, her two wives included. there was nothing special cortez could really do for her. none of his skill set really catered to a new mother and newborns.
and he was getting itchy paws again. it was time for a spell away.
the bard slipped through the willows, pale eyes flitting to and fro as he went. he wasn't looking for anyone in particular; he was more looking to avoid everyone else. he was avoiding the conversation he'd need to have with his sister.
but how long would he be gone, anyway? one moon? three? it wouldn't be all too long, he thought. the roots he'd set down here were strong enough to pull him back. . .
eventually.
but he had to stretch 'em out, at least for a little while.
