Working for Chronicler trade! :)

The twilight shown down on the forest tonight. Blue wisps danced around the forest floor. They bobbed up and down, swayed side to side. And then, disappeared, only to reappear to do an encore. The dark star watched them sway, her ocean blue eyes following every movement. She had heard many fables of the wisps, but never seen one. And to be watching one right now was like a national treasure. They were bright blue, which meant that they were spirits of the night. When she had heard the tails of the wisps, there was always different colors to indicate the spirit. Blue, elegant. Red, warrior. Green, wise. Purple, mysterious. Yellow, playful. The way they danced could easily tell their personality.

The girl couldn't help but think about all of the stories she had listened to. And the way she repeated those stories to everyone. She was a storyteller in the flesh. I know there's a trade for that... The trade would fit her perfectly. It was something that she would love to do. Tell her stories and history to others. Encourage them to pass on the legends to their young. It was a hobby she specialized in.

@Lusa I'm here to help! I'm going for chronicler too. :D

The priestess had a strange fondness for the Wispmother's Grotto. She established the place as a meeting grounds for her pack, because of how calm and silent it was. It was not a familiar place to many in her pack, which in a way, forced them together. It was also beautiful, with the wisps dancing in the air above, shrouded by the mists that separated this part of the swamp from the rest.

She took the time to come here when she needed to think; the silence provided her the chance to meditate away from the dark forest. Meldresi breathed the clean air, letting it calm her brain. She had a lot going on in her life, but it was only natural for an alpha, and one who was ruling alone. The dark priestess sighed, closing her eyes for a brief moment. When she opened her eyes again, she said a wisp in the air, and a wolfess nosing it. "Lusa." She greeted her, recognizing the wolf.

Woohoo! Thanks for joining :3

Lusa turned her head to see the source of her name. It was Meldresi. She had only met her Alpha twice, so she didn't know her all that well. But now that they were alone, and she hadn't nothing to do, they could have a friendly little chat.

"Greetings Meldresi. Wasn't expecting someone to come." She hadn't really talked to any of her Packmates, and wasn't willing to either. She was just the kind of girl who preferred to be alone rather than stay with others. Liked some peace and quiet. "I was just gazing at the wisps. They are fascinating. Never thought I could ever see some in person." In the old fables, she recalled spotting them to be a very rare and wonderful privilege. They preferred to watch others rather than greet them.

Lusa, like her, was fascinated by the wisps that lit up the quiet swamp. There was a mystique to them that could not be denied, everyone knew that. Their dancing was strange, unworldly, but so intriguing. "They are, truly." She said, admiring one of the wisps that floated by. "Do you know any stories about them?" The wisps were subject to many a story, she knew. She wondered what new stories Lusa could bring.

She nodded her head in response. "Indeed I have. It is a very wonderful and mysterious tale." The mystery of it was the best part. It made you determined to fid the wonderful little dancing spirits. "Would you wish to hear it?" It had been a while since she had told someone this story. But despite that, she remembered it quite well.

She wondered if Lusa was just as interested as her in chronicling. With the establishment of the Dark Brotherhood, the marking down of their history was important, if another of their cult came. She would appreciate having another to learn their past rather than the job falling solely on her. "Do tell." She said, wondering what she had to say about the mysterious wisps.

Wow, that took a while to think of! XD

She glowed inside, happy to tell one of her favorite stories. "Well it goes something like this:"

"Long ago there was four Packs, bearing four Alphas. There names were Blue, Red, Purple, Green, and Yellow. Blue led her fighters with peace and grace. Red led his fighters with hatred, power, and respect. Purple's Pack was a mystery. He led them in the shadows, camouflaged with their surroundings. Yellow was always a playful young lady. Always wanted her fighters to see the light in the storm. She led her Pack with joy and happiness. Green was the eldest of all the eldest of all the warriors in the land. He wasn't so good at wars anymore, for his bones were frail, but he ran his fighters with an iron fist. Many wolves, even those from enemy Packs, honored him for his wisdom."

"Life in the forest was pretty peaceful. Battles breaking out only once every often. But then a strange voice had called all the Alphas to a meeting at the Great Tree. The Alphas were confronted with a tiny white glow. A Heaven Wisp, though they hadn't known what it was at first glance."

"Despite its size, the heavenly glow spoke with a strong voice. 'I warn you of your fate,' it cried, 'A great war for power shall break out at dusk. All of your warriors shall fall and be a spirit of the forest. You all have proved yourself unworthy of your great and noble warriors, and so they shalt be claimed to us.'

"They only looked amongst each other, and then laughed at the wisp. They hadn't believed him, and would soon regret that at dusk. Back at Red's territory, his fighters had came to argue to him about how he lead the place. 'We need more territory!' they shouted. 'We must run out those other wolves!' they grumbled. 'We are starting to regret your leadership Red...' they growled. This happened with all five of the kingdoms, each Alpha becoming more and more keen to attack each other."

"And it happened: They had started a great war by the Great Tree. And one by one, the warriors fell to their death. By nightfall, everyone was dead, except for the Alphas. They stared at each other, then at the unsettling scene. 'The little light was correct!" Green shouted, 'How could we be so foolish?' The rest of the wolves had gave small nods of agreement. Suddenly, a white glow came from the tree. The Alphas had turned to see many white wisps coming out and seizing the bodies of the dead. The corpse slowly disappeared and the wisps came out. Blue ones, red ones, yellow ones, purple ones, and green ones. Four larger wisps came out and took the bodies of the leaders, coming out as the color of the leader's name."

Lusa closed her eyes for a brief moment, picturing the beautiful scene. "The wisps are very rare to spot. It is said they take the bodies of the brave, giving them a second life." She opened her eyes to look at the blinking wisps. "If that is true, then our Pack must interest the Blue very much. I wouldn't be surprised to know that our fallen is up there now."

"Peace and grace.." She said, once Lusa's story was finished. It was a lovely story, but given the nature of her goddess, she could not imagine her pack living in peace for much longer. "For right now, perhaps we do live in peace. It will not last forever though." She sighed. Contracts would have to come soon, even though her Dark Brotherhood was, regrettably, diminished. But her children were soon to bear the mark, she knew they would. "If there was ever a pack that lived here before us, then their pack must have been peaceful." If. These woods did not look inhabited by wolves when she arrived, and the ravens and crows responded as if they had never seen wolves in their land before.

"But it is common for wisps to be seen as spirits. I don't blame anyone in that regard." They seemed awfully sentient in their movements. Even now, one was floating towards them. It stopped, hovered in front of them, and then drifted away....
