Perhaps now that Damien was gone, it was the perfect moment for Cicero (or Sheogorath) to help Kove get his children back. Truthfully, he did not know how he would manage, and if he would manage, but it was worth a shot, and it would be a learning experience regardless, as a spy.

So while traveling the forest that day drowning in thoughts, he called for @Burke to get his opinion on the matter. Odds were that he would not care enough for Kove or his daughters to want to get them back, but time would just have to tell.

Interesting... because Desna will soon be at BFW after Scarlett dies. xD But she doesn't know where BWF is.... So if Cicero would happen to join... But Scarlett is going to die soon, maybe too soon so they will or can cross paths while she is looking for BFW?

Burke responded quickly to the call Cicero made. First he didn't see him for months and now he was speaking regularly to the black and white male. Burke didn't mind, he always enjoyed talking to Cicero. Had been since he was a pup. Kendra reminded him a bit of a young Cicero sometimes with her weird statements. Guess they had that both from Meldresi.

Burke returned a howl that he was coming and to pin point a better location. It didn't take long for the alpha to find his son. He still referred to Cicero as his son too, less than he did with Damien, but he did see him as his son. He was of his belief that Cicero did not see him as a father but that was okay. Their relationship was going better lately and the name of how one was labeled was far from important. "Yes?"

haha that would be so funny. "hi, what're you doing all out here, i wanna join your pack" "oh i left it, i'm joining BFW instead now, but idk where it is" "..... ok nvm me joining it was a ruse to get you to BFW, just come with me" Though for Cicero's spy trade it would be neat if he could get to PHX first.

Burke did not take long to arrive, and Cicero greeted him with a brief touch of his nose to Burke's chin as a sign of respect. Things were jumbled with Damien, so it seemed as good a time as any for Cicero, or Sheogorath, to depart for a mission. Burke was curt, and so Cicero decided that he would be, too.

Calm eyes looked at Burke while he wasted no time to get to the matter at hand: "Scarlett's children belong in Blackfeather Woods, to the Dark Brotherhood. Sheo has scouted to the north, he knows where they are. He intends to bring them back, with Burke's permission." It might be tricky to convince the children to come with, but Cicero was convinced that he could do it.

It would be right! :D Well it depends on how quick her thread with Nanook goes to be honest but I do plan on her dying pretty soon. But him showing her where Black Feather is as Sheo that is like being undercover so also being a spy right? We will have to see how things go. But maybe Scarlett dies, and Desna doesn't leave instantly. That could also be a solution!

Burke instantly scrunched up his nose when Cicero made his proposal. He was quite done with Scarlett's children and not remotely interested in having more mouths to feed. Luckily Xan had stayed out of his way, briefly seeing him, but the big mouthed pup was the least thing he liked to deal with. "No," he spoke instantly. Burke didn't see any win in this situation. "I heard there was a choice. The daughters chose Scarlett and I am not going to deal with children who don't want to be here," he returned.

Burke was pretty strict about that, plus he wanted the pack to embrace Pietro and Kendra. They were the true children of BFW along with Cicero and Damien. Not these half-lings because a Dark Brother created them. "You can go to them if you like, but you won't take them. I do not feel like creating a war with this pack in the north," he spoke to Cicero clearly. Burke was serious about that. Stealing pups was most definitely something that could start a war. Seeing that Scarlett was their mother he didn't have high expectations of these daughters. His own daughter would come first. "You can see if they have any interest in seeing or finding their father. If they know in what kind of pack he is in, and find out if they would be interested in the first place."

yeah, i suppose it would! we'll see how it goes, i guess :D

It did not surprise Cicero to hear Burke instantly disagree. He, in a way, was far too light for the Dark Brotherhood, too morally sane. Or perhaps Burke simply did not know as much about the minds of children as he should have. Children, after all, were often unaware of what was best for them, and often they would kick and scream, and realise only later that the choice the adults had made for them was right. Perhaps it was because Cicero was closer to this infantile age (or perhaps because he had witnessed the process up close in Damien and Potema, and even himself) that he understood this, or perhaps it was because his own moral radar was far more deteriorated than Burke's. Cicero felt nothing for Kove's children; he did not care if they wanted to be here. They belonged here.

Burke did not forbid him to go, however, only to ask rather than take. Cicero enjoyed intellectual discussions, but he felt that if he were to try and start one now in regards to Kove's childrens' minds, for he knew he would find no discussion in Burke. Cicero's face remained calm as Burke spoke while he calculated the proper response, but before he could manage half of his face started to melt into an expressive grin befitting of the moniker he'd used to describe himself moments earlier. "Don't worry, dad," Sheogorath said, the eerie grin lasting after he had spoken. "I'll see what I can do. I intend to leave North soon. You can miss me for a little bit, right? They're around the age they start to get useful, at least — the most expensive part of their lives is over." Sheogorath intended to leave soon, and he would see how he could go about taking the pups — he had never intended to use force, anyway, because that was not Cicero's nor Sheogorath's weapon of choice. Words, in his experience, were a more effective weapon in his hands.

"If they are interested, I can take them here?" asked Sheogorath, intending to depart soon, because the journey was long and it wasn't like he had anything here right now, what with Damien's absence from the pack.

Burke had to smile a little bit but there was no laughter behind him. Frankly he was feeling rather scared. He got flashbacks of Meldresi leaving for a bit and not returning quickly enough. First Damien that had headed out and now Cicero wanted to leave too. What was up with them always being around each other?! Burke disliked that all his close family members were not on pack lands where he could protect him. A part of his reasoning mind told him that Cicero left more often and it was Damien's rude mouth he needed to worry about. Burke left a long sigh.

"I want to say No so badly," he returned with a hint of a scowl to Cicero. "But, since Kove has been working hard this month I don't want to stain our relationship bond again. So I am going to say yes." Burke better tell this to Kove so the male would at least know of his step forward in their relationship. Still this was Burke at his best. A leader was always selfless, thinking of this Burke hoped that Damien would even learn this. Maybe it was not in him to think of others. Perhaps this trip was going to be very useful for both sons. It was only then that Burke realized Cicero called him dad. "You better return to us--to me, alright?," he stated. He didn't want to relive the whole drama he had with Meldresi missing.

It seemed like a good idea to have asked the question, rather than to show up with Kove's daughters in tow. Sheogorath was quickly growing bored with all the sappy stuff that Cicero might have cared about, and so he grinned broadly and promised: "Yeah, no worries, I'll be back soon." That was just the life of a Scout, though — always out and about, going off on exploration for the pack's sake.

Sheogorath had little intention to rush his eventual return, but he didn't tell 'dad' about that. Not that he actually figured he'd join the pack the daughters stayed at; not unless it was absolutely necessary. Not unless he'd grow bored and the pack offered him more of a thrill than he was getting, anyway. But then again, the Dark Brotherhood had never been boring. He doubted boring old Phoenix Maplewood could live up to Sheogorath's expectations for an elongated stay.

"Hey, by the way... Is there anything you need done for my ascension in the Dark Brotherhood? This, perhaps, or another spy mission you need assistance with? I think it's about time Cicero and Damien officially became Brothers." Not that Cicero really cared, but that was why Sheogorath brought it up now. Sheogorath wasn't going to live his life prancing after his tease of a brother without achieving anything.

Burke nodded to Cicero when he spoke about returning soon. Burke was about to leave when the other asked another question. The heavy tank turned back to him with some interest. It was about another matter. "Most definitely. Actually I have a new plan in mind which I will have to discuss with my fellow brother and sister. But if all goes to plan you and your brother will join us very soon," Burke spoke with a grin on his lips.

Seeing that time of grief was over now, a new idea had sprung into his mind which he of course needed to discuss but it most definitely had promise so say the least. "Travel safe," he wished the other. In his tone was clear that Burke respected his decision to come to him.

Sheogorath nodded, the grin still on his face, as Burke disclosed that he had other plans for their ascension into the brotherhood. This was good; this was what Sheogorath wanted. Power, a place from which he could work from his strengths. From which Cicero could work from his strengths, even when Sheogorath wasn't there.

An appreciative nod was given by Sheogorath upon the safe wishing. He turned from Burke and decided to start preparations right away.
