Obv not a mandatory hunt, but if anyone wants to help Brandy impress ;) Plus, y'know, who doesn't wanna get some food for thanksgiving?! :D I didn't tag the pups cause I figured they were too young yet
It'd taken a while for her to track down a deer within the fen, but Brandy had been patient. With the cool weather, it was harder to find a herd and even harder to find one that was more tired than the rest; after a couple of days following behind, taking only breaks when she needed to check on Ambrosia, she spotted a doe that began to fall back. Finally.
Brandy kept where she was crouched in some tall grass, copper tones blending nicely with the fen and the dying foliage. The yearling waited a minute or two before tipping up her head and calling for @Aduin, @Sebastian, @Nathaniel, @Aviana @Odette and anyone else who could help her take this doe down. It could fill the caches nicely in the wake of winter, assure that the pups could have something in their bellies, and that the rest of them could keep up their strength to hunt. It was good for the pack all around! The yearling would wait until someone joined her to take it down, but for now she stalked forward. Keeping crouched close to the ground, the fire-legged girl followed behind the doe she could now see was not tired, but injured: there were splashes of blood every couple of steps now -- the doe must've reopened a wound, since it was now limping to keep up with the rest of the herd.

She heard Brandy's howl for the pack and began to make her way towards the female. Previously she had been taking a nice nap, tired from some swimming in one of the fens earlier. Now that Brandy's howl had rung in her ears she was up and well rested as she made her way torwards her sepia toned pack mate. Once she was some feet away the smell of blood grew strong in her nose and so did the scent of a doe, whom she assumed to be injured do to the blood smell.
Her eyes scanned the tall grasses in search of Brandy, quickly finding her, though mostly by scent as well as sight. She hunkered down and began to stalk towards Brandy, the tall grass mostly concealed Odie, but still from time to time a little bit of stray fluff would peek out, which had been recently starting to enhance into an even fluffier winter coat.
Soon enough she made her way to Brandy's side. "Hey Brandy," she whispered, "nice find."

As soon as the howl was up, he was moving to the location of the howl. He had been up, just waiting for her to call since he couldn't find her around him. Aduin was happy to do this with her, to hunt with her. The last time, she was injured and told to hang back. Now they would hunt together, with the others as well.
He got down low beside her, giving her a soft nuzzle on her cheek, his tail wagging behind him. "I'm ready when you are, Brandy." He gave a nod over to Odette in acknowledgement.

In truth, Brandy had both expected and hoped Aduin would be the first to show, but when she heard the approach of another was surprised to see the paler coat of Odette -- she hadn't seen the girl since she'd broken her tail, and now it gave her butterflies in her belly to be so near to Sebastian's daughter. Eventually, though, Odette was at her side and greeting her -- despite the anxiety she now felt, she found herself giving a nod and a smile back to the girl -- and the hunt had to go on. In the lapse of time they waited for someone else, Brandy gave a wink at the praise.
"Thanks, Odette -- been tryin' to impress, y'know?"
Aduin was next to arrive, and she offered him a soft return nuzzle before setting her lemon eyes back on the injured doe. Now, her head was really in the game: she had a group and a target, the only part left was to plan and go.
"Aduin, take Odette and circle to the right. Ill cut to the left and try to steer her away from the herd."
To the pup, she turned her gaze on. She was bigger now, stronger than their last hunt -- she could help now, but the prospect of her getting hurt scared the shit out of Brandy. The fire-legged girl had already seen Sebastian's ire once, and she didn't wish to be the direct cause of it this time. Sending her with Aduin would give her a strong protector, and the Valentine could watch from afar to know if things were about to go bad.
"I want you to stay close to Aduin and help him as he needs -- if anything at all goes wrong, I need you to be able to break away and find Sebastian, got it?"

Brandy really seemed to want to keep her safe, even going so far as to tell her to run and get Seb if something went wrong. It almost seemed like Brandy was afraid of her getting hurt. She didn't push to hard on that topic though, deciding that it wasn't worth it to bring it up and after all it seemed sweet in a way that Brandy wanted to keep her safe.
"Sounds good Brandy," she told the sepia toned female with a nod, then proceeded to fix her gaze on Aduin. "You ready to go?"

Aduin smiled at her return smile, his tail wagging behind him. He listened to his mate give the orders, ready to follow. With a nod to Brandy, he looked over at the prey, not hearing what Brandy told Odette.
When Odette said she was ready, he replied, "Then let's get moving." He began to circle right, just like Brandy told him to, looking back occasionally to see if the younger wolf still followed behind, and then to the prey to make sure it did not move.

She followed after Aduin, keeping in line behind him as he circled to the right. The excitement and anticipation of the hunt flooded through her in the form of anderline as she got ready to take down the deer alongside Brandy and Aduin. She couldn't wait.
She took a small risk, just peeking her head up a little to check on the deers position from full veiw, before quickly ducking her head down again. Luckily the deer had not noticed her... and so the hunt would resume with hopefully not to many mistakes.
