For @Tunerk only please. Forward dated a few days for eyes to open.
Life had been moving along just as well as it always had. Though he had very little frame of reference for how well the world should have been working, he had grown to become attached to the habits that were created around his life. Sos would eat until his belly was full and satisfied, and oftentimes he would rest until he had gathered enough strength to wander himself away from the warmth of Shivali’s pale coat. Enough of his own fur had thickened that he did not shudder when he wandered, but his eyes had not granted him the ability to know just how far he was going or how he should return to where he was before. At least, that was until the early hours of the morning when he had sneezed violently and found that the world had taken a different shade.
By no means was his vision perfect, and he struggled to make out the shapes that were forming in his cloudy blue gaze. Sos peered with a stern expression on his youthful features, drinking in the strange happening that had granted him the ability to now see colors and distorted blobs that he could only assume belonged to the family scent he had grown used to. On teetering limbs, the young bear meandered his way toward a distinctly brown figure that was roughly his size. Sos opened his mouth and released a quiet, ”oof,” as he careened into Tunerk.

Tunerk had been dozing peacefully against her mother, muzzle tucked beneath a foreleg of her siblings and content with her lot in life, now. All was well these days; she was warm, she ate freely, and she slept when she had her fill. For all of her short life, the sleep had been sound—until this moment, when her brother decided that she would be the perfect thing to acquire a soft landing. She yelped as she shifted upward in utter surprise, though with lack of much muscle her movements were not so much as to disturb her other siblings. What was all the more shocking was that something significant had changed, her vision similar to a kaleidoscope shifting its gears and her gaze reminiscent of an individual who had no idea what in the world was going on. Her jaw parted and she gaped at what she did not know was her brothers face, too bewildered now to be bothered. In fact, she did not even remember his crime.

There was something striking in the beauty of having found sight. Shoddy as it was, Sos had done well to take full advantage of the newest ability. The young bear had tested the limitations of his newfound sight on many items within their den, but he had found none quite as pleasant to watch as his family members. Young as he was, the boy was watchful and intent on understanding everything that took place around him. Sos was quiet for his age, filled with a peculiar confidence that also bestowed stoicism on the young pup. While he did enjoy romping with his siblings and slumbering next to the warmth of his mother, he was prone to spending a great deal of time on his own. The polar pup would wander a short distance and fix his gaze on something beyond, and he would watch for more than an hour, hoping to understand what it was and where it had come from.
The blurred image of his sister’s face was indescribable in its poor construction. It was not that Tunerk was made improperly, or that she had any distinct facial deformities, but that Sos did not quite have the capability to make sense of what she was or why she looked like a faded brown blob. Wondering if she was even real, or if he had managed to wander into the broad side of a den wall, Sos reached out a wobbly paw and extended himself to bop against her. A small squeak was released from his mouth as he attempted to do so.

Her brother moved closer to her, though she was not truly able to know that was what was happening. What she saw was simply white that shifted in a dizzying fashion, and then, suddenly, it touched her. Tunerk did not know what to make of this, and blearily blinked before she, herself, moved forward some. That was sudden, and dizzying as well, and Tunerk paused for a moment. The newness would lose its novelty, but as it stood Tunerk was not at all used to this development.

The faded brown of her body seemed to afford her some momentary camouflage against the muddy appearance of their family den. Sos tried to squint his eyes in order to make out her shape, but it was difficult for him to manage. When he had found contact with her, the young bear made a delighted squeak and reared back to his hind paws. Once there, he seemed to sit like a frosty marmot, swaying against the struggle to balance in that position. The girl seemed to move toward him in a few tentative steps before she found that the effort of it was tasking on her newly granted eyesight. Sos lowered his front half to the earth in a playful bow and then sprung upward with an excited yap. His tail flagged behind him at the prospect of this new plaything. Though Tunerk was not nearly as excited as he was to have discovered their new ability, Sos was attempting to rouse the fighting spirit within her.

It was not difficult for him to do. Even though she was on the ground and confounded, his rousing worked as she found her feet (messily). In no time (read: a good amount of time) she was standing, and her hinds quivered as she responded to his yap with an uncoordinated spring in his direction. Nothing was really clear, however; the tawny pup actually lunged at her other brother, quite on accident.

There was a resounding determination in him that could not be beat. The young bear was filled with hopeful things that most were unfamiliar with. He had a powerful spirit, aided by the closeness that he felt with the earth and sky. It was all things living that worked within him; he was a collection of the great breath of the wild. In this, he was encouraging and fierce, with a penchant for serious moments of thought. Sos was peculiar, that much was evident, but he was capable of so many things. In the depths of all his emotions, the bear was fiercely affectionate toward his family. The life that had surrounded him since his birth had been so strong that it was impossible for it not to have worn on him.
With a curious tilting of his head, Sos watched as Tunerk found her own fighting spirit and whirled around. She took a great deal of effort to ground herself, but when she aimed to reach him, the boy could not help but to sit in confusion. The young girl had whirled herself to the point of lunging toward Aningan, who was beside them in sweet slumber. Sos released a worried yap before stepping toward his sister and reaching out with his nose for a soft touch against her side.
