My older brother Michael [he's my other brother, I have two], he's an autistic 29 adult who lives at home with us as he can't live alone due to that and a autoimmune disease of the esophagus. He has a little dog named Shelbi, she's a rescue we took in alongside my own dog Apricot. Shelbi is an 11 year old Miki and the love of my brother's life. I can't imagine what he will be like if this dog dies, she keeps him grounded. We were in the process of getting her registered as a companion dog for him too so he could bring her places. I have a picture of the bill thus far and this was only for our first visit/treatment: My mother is currently on the way to the vet to get an anti nausea pill for Shelbi from the vet, she was diagnosed with ITP - http://www.metropolitanvet.com/wp-conten...mp_imt.pdf

She needs a ton of treatment and the bills are going to skyrocket. If she gets lethargic/unresponsive we have to take her to vet ER, this is really serious [the bill itself for such a visit would be around 700 bucks]. This had come out of nowhere for us, as until now Shelbi appeared very healthy and happy. We saw she had blood in her mouth and after taking her to the vet, we got the diagnosis. My brother nearly collapsed in his grief, it breaks my heart. So I'm going to do all I can to raise money to help pay for any vet bills coming to us, as it will be a long and hard and expensive journey to get her well. The good news is her bone marrow is working so if we can get her over the next couple of days, she could be on the way to recovery though she might need a blood transfusion. We are waiting for etst results because she might be complicated due to lime disease. We have her on Doxycyclien but its upsetting her stomach, hence we are getting different medications now too.

Half-breed, that's all I ever heard
Half-breed, how I learned to hate the word
Half-breed, she's no good they warned
Both sides were against me since the day I was born
