Anyone welcome! :D

As much as it pained him to leave the sea, Atreyu's wanderlust had struck him with such a force that he had risen much earlier than usual that morning — even before the sun had awoken. In the darkness, he slipped out from the trees that made up Stavanger Bay's forest, loping out into the fields beyond. With his pale-coloured coat, he cut a ghostly figure, travelling through the meadow with the long grasses tickling his underside, mist swirling around his paws. He had no direction in mind, he just knew that he had to go somewhere and let himself wander towards whatever place summoned him.

The sun had only just escaped the horizon by the time he stumbled upon a coniferous forest, the darkness inviting as the day warmed up yet also sinister, as if it held secrets that it refused to give up. Atreyu had entered hesitantly, his curiosity pulling him further inwards. The mist that had greeted him earlier that morning returned, hanging low around the tangled roots of the trees and dampening the forest floor. He felt as if he was being watched but he shook away the feeling, a nervous but excited grin appearing on his features as he made his way around a mossy log, examining it from every angle as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.

Hi!

For one reason or another, Fox had decided to take a day-trip outside of the plateau. Maybe it was the whole Junior going to live in another pack ordeal. The whole thing had obviously upset Peregrine, but Fox had felt little (if anything at all) regarding the situation. She wondered if she would feel the same if Junior had been her own child. Fox squinted as she moved through the forest, but she couldn't imagine it. She would have her own children soon enough, and she expected them to leave her when they were old enough. And "old enough" was a very, very relative term.

Several minutes into the conifer forest, Fox realized this was where she had challenged the Alpha of the pack that once lived here. She didn't remember the lady's name, or really much of anything about the encounter except that she had come close to winning. A smirk curled up the young girl's face, but she was quickly drawn to the soft sound of footsteps somewhere deeper into the forest. Inquisitively, she stalked toward the sound, keeping herself low to the ground and as quiet as possible.

It was a wolf. Nothing terribly remarkable, though he did seem extra enthused about the log he was examining. Figuring he couldn't be much of a threat, Fox stepped sideways from behind a tree and woofed a greeting at him. “What’s so cool about that log?”

Whatever it was, the white wolf seemed nonplussed by her presence and quickly skulked away. Shrugging, Fox inspected the log for awhile before moving on to more interesting things of the day.
