"Mm," He noted her name and glanced at her, sniffing a bit to better embed her name in memory. She'd gone out of her way to assist him in more ways than one, and for that he was thankful.

"No more walking cliffs," he agreed. For now. For a while. He might risk it again at another, less treacherous part of the gorge, or walk up along the river another time simply for exploration's sake, but he wasn't so desperate as to try that route again while dehydrated. Not when there was another stream so close.

Kero agreed to no more adventures on treacherous cliffs, which brought a smile to Harlyn's face.  "Good," she said, pulling herself up onto all fours.  She turned to leave, but not before giving him one last glance.  "Stay well," she said, more as a demand than a request.  With that, Harlyn cantered off into the woods to retrace her steps back to Mordecai's side.
