She remained immobile even as her companion sprang to force the pair into a running start. It would be the dark male that compelled his companion to move, nudging her seemingly forcefully to move rather than press their luck on the claimed land. The warrior kept them within her sights until there was only the back of them heading out of the territory. The tension of her posture did not lessen even as they faded from her, for the adrenaline of the moment hadn’t fully run its course.
With them gone, Xi’nuata was quick to turn to her lead, her teeth bore with jaws parted wide as she snapped not at him but the air around him in blind rage. She was seething, yes, but more so with herself for having let the two of them walk away as she did. She had no affirmation of what she had glimpsed on the female, only the inkling in her mind that became hard to ignore. And if it was true, then why… why would any risk their own lives and the lives of those yet unborn? Was it madness? Was it sickness? It was frustrating to contemplate, and did her no good especially when the source was now gone.
She breathed deeply, attempting to find calm amidst her rage, til she found that peace in the scent of her companion. Each inhale a pull to bring her back to sanity, and focus her mind on what was more important than the trespassers.
“I will check the borders,” she announced with a huff, then turned from Raheerah leaving no room for argument. Perhaps rude on her part, but she hadn’t the care to pleasantries when duty became more important. Without further word, she walked off to remark the territory.

The white woman had snapped back, and it was almost enough to prompt Raheerah to just carry through with his attack, shove past the black male and tear her limb from limb. It was tempting; how long had it been since he shook another creature's body like a ragdoll, draining their life with each sway of his wicked head? How long had it been since he wrenched everything they held precious to them away? The anger that they spawned reminded him of his crimes and it made him hungry, it made him all too eager for an excuse to break his vow of peace on behalf of the Vale. But the black male had moved just in time, retreating further backwards to prevent Raheerah from encroaching any further. Instead, he held his position and bristled, snarling wildly at the pair.
Finally, they turned and ran. Raheerah snapped his teeth one final time, edging after them - in the same moment, Xi'nuata coped with her own overflow of fury. The two of them seethed, though it was Xi'nuata who would take her leave. Raheerah snapped his gaze to her; given no time to respond, he could only watch her leave. But rage bled into words he couldn't hold back. "Xiii'nuataa. Doo nooott spaare the neext intruuuder you fiind." The dragon called coldly after her, and turned his shoulder from his light. His own path led him to arc around the intruder's trail towards the border, to double check himself that they were well and gone.
