Pearl dipped her head in return, wanting to say something, but Aria's words and departure were not meant for a reply. She stayed there, silent, watching her pale look-a-like fade into the horizon. Did she regret leaving? Not in the slightest, but there was a remaining seed of guilt that bounced in her heart when she saw Aria. She wished she could be there more often for the girl, but alas, it was not meant to be. 

She fixated on the beautiful lake scenery until the sunbeams ceased their dance across the lapping water, then turned to make the returning trip home.
