I understand a rather important thread is happening at the moment...I would be okay if we backdated, or kept very vague. AW!
Silver paws tread lightly on dark soil. Ever present crows and ravens quarreled among the branches, and Aeronwyn felt this place familiar. This place, to her, felt like the closest thing to a home she had known. She had seen little of the occupants of these woods, only flashes of dark pelts here and there, and sometimes she doubted her own eyes when she saw them. The forest spoke of illusions and trickery, murder and deceit, pain and sorrow. Aeronwyn was, finally, after years of hunting, happy. Here, she felt like she belonged. And so many mysterious circumstances to solve. For example, the red paw. On the Beta, and the Alpha. What did it mean? What was it's significanse, it's power in these woods? Was it the mark given to one who did great? Was a secret society? A mark of a religion, perhaps? This questions excited the sterling femme, however she did not wish to admit it.
She settled her slander body at the base of a gnarled tree, of which sort she did not know. She could smell, very faintly, the tang of blood, of death. A breeze pushed the branches together in a grating harmony, and the serling girl simply watched, silent.

Sup'!
Even though I think that thread is pretty much solved, it's best to keep this one vague about it :D

On his search for food, Damien found a rather unexpected thing instead. Nestled among the tangled sprouting roots of a tree, a pale female rested calmly. Damien's first reaction was, as usual, pricking up his tail in a statement of dominance. He did not know this one yet, and her evident comfort in the forest revealed that she was part of the pack.
"Who are you?" asked the dark male approaching aggressively to sniff all over her without minding personal space. This was protocol for him, and so she would have to take it whether she liked it or not.
Hello!
The dark male approached, dominance apparent, and after a short question immedietly begun to inspect her. Her eyes flicked toward him in subtle annoyance, though she knew better then to protest. Instead, she lay still and pressed her ears flat against her skull in submission, following his dark form a moment with her eyes. The Brotherhood scent lay heavy on him, and he seemed familiar with the woods."Aeronwyn" she said simply, but politely. She did not shrink back from him, but simply watched him. He seemed rather aggressive, though young, it seemed. She was not overly talkative, and so waited for him to finish his inspection of her and speak.

The pale female stayed calm while Damien explored with his nose. Nemesis and Burke's scents had rubbed onto the female, which helped her get Damien off of her in short time. Once he identified the female's own scent he pulled back and relaxed a bit, knowing now that she was not an intruder.
"And what do you think you're doing?" he asked disapprovingly once he took a couple steps back. "Shouldn't you be trying to prove your worth or something?" that was, at least, what new wolves always tried to do their first couple of weeks as members of the pack and what was required of them to gain a full-titled spot among the ranks.

Aeronwyn glanced at him warily as he questioned him. Proving her worth? What was she doing? Well, she couldn't very well be 'proving her worth' every moment of every day, could she? But her slim face showed none of these thoughts as she turned to the male. He she been not so new, she would have retorted sharply, but her position was too fragile and she did not wish to make enemies so early. She sized him up, pelt scanning over his ebony pelt. If he so wished for her to prove herself, she would be happy to oblidge. "Perhaps I could do so now. Would it be prudent of me to ask for a spar, if only test my skills against a opponent such as yourself?" she asked, carefully getting to her feet gracefully. She was leaner then him, but almost the same height.
you get Damien's 400th post, yo!
Unlike what Damien was expecting, the female had an interesting response for his arrogant challenge. She stood up after Damien gave her her space back, and proposed to spar in order to do just what he had told her she should be doing. Proving her worth. By that he hadn't meant she should prove her worth.
"Ah, a bold female, aren't you, Aeronnwyn?" he responded even more arrogantly. Perhaps they were not in their best shapes after all those days enduring hunger, nor would their spar be as enticing as Damien would have liked it to be, but he was still superior to her in size, and a spar was something Damien rarely refused.
"Very well, then. Show me how worthy you are," he challenged, and stared at her expecting for her move.

Yay!
Aeronwyn said nothing to his arrogant statment, merely nodding. Why yes, that she was. He seemed arrogant, eager, something that made Aeronwyn's eyes narrow the subtlest amount. His response only fueled her desire to prove herself, to perhaps knock this male down a peg or two. Though she doubted that she would best him easily, she would, she thought herself a little arrogantly. He invited her to make the first move, and for a moment her mind spun. A lunge for the throat or shoulder would be too obvious, too simple. He would expect that, and it would not serve her well. Her silver eyes glanced at an empty space over his left shoulder, tracking an invisible distraction. After mere seconds, she lunged forward, eyes flicking forward while she was in motion. Her fangs sought to grasp his upper leg, her whole body weight flung forward, and hopefully catching him off balance.
Would you like to act this out entirely ICly or do a dice roll? Don't mind either way :D

I've never tried dice rolls for fights before, so we can each roll to see whether the other's attack was successful?
Started this one for us: spar rolls
Started this one for us: spar rolls
Damien stood still and watched the female with careful eyes. She had fallen silent after Damien agreed to spar with her to see how badly she wanted to stay, and so she started the dance with a courteous nod and a proper posture. Her eyes suddenly shifted to Damien's shoulder, which the young prince noticed, and a sly smile crossed his face. 'So predictable' he thought, and allowed the female to lunge hoping that moving his paw away would be enough for her to snap on thin air, but her movement had been directed towards his leg instead, which Damien had not moved away. Her fangs snapped on his flesh, sending a sting of pain up his leg rapidly. He reacted rather aggressively, turning his head as much as he was able and attempting to grab hold on her left forelimb, which was the most obvious thing on his reach to try for the female to let go of him and push her off-balance at the same time.

Sounds good!
She clamped down on flesh, triumphant, but he reacted violently and tried to grab her left foreleg. She pulled it in close to her body, narrowly avoiding snapping fangs, before trying yet another tactic. She bunched her hind legs underneath her, trying not to roll him over for he was heavier then her, but to roll him ontop of her, where, should she be successful, she would pummel his underside wither her back legs. It would leave her in a vulnerable position, but it was a risk she was willing to take. Hopeing that his attempt to roll her over earlier would allow enough moment so that she could get underneath him, she pulled his forelimb and attempted the manuever.

Damien fails to clutch his fangs on the female's leg, snapping on thin air as she danced gracefully away from his reach. She was good, so far Damien was impressed, and in pain, but he would not let the female step on him so easily. He was good himself, the best in his own eyes, and he would show Aeronwyn just why.
She attempted to pull him off-balance by pulling his foreleg, but he was stronger than she expected him to be, or perhaps he was trying harder than she thought. She failed to bring him down, of which Damien tried to take advantage by pushing her further to add to the momentum she carried down for her to tumble to the ground alone, where Damien would hold her by the throat in case she tried another move.

His move was good, but Aeronwyn was quicker. She darted out of contact, his teeth grazing her neck a moment, and stood. Her tail lashed as she surveyed him from a distance, eyes flashing as a smile twisted her maw. He was good, very much so, and this was fun. However, she did not tarry long before striking again, teeth aiming for his scruff as she aimed to end this fight.
Sorry for the short post! Catching up on all of my threads :D

Too slow. He pounced but Awronwyn dodged him just in time leaving Damien's jaws to clutch on fur as she once again danced away from him. Her swiftness was what Damien needed to work on, if not gaining some himself, he would need to learn hos to deal with those blessed with it. But for now he had to rely on his field of expertise, which the female pleased innocently enough. Direct combat, where he could use his bulk to overpower his opponent was what the Dark Prince did best, and Aeronwyn went directly for his scruff. Damien let her grasp, which gave him enough time and space to do exactly the same. He did not go for blood, the rules forbid it, so instead he pushed her back trying to rule the much smaller female down.

Her teeth clamped on fur, but before she could tighten her grip she was being puched backward. Her body met the ground with a dull thud, and she gasped as the breath pushed out her lungs. She held still, as her breath gradually returned and her breathing had slowed. She was trapped, perhaps in another fight she would have twisted and fought for freedom. But this was a packmate, and he was good. She smiled wryly, content to stay still a while longer. "You win" she said simply, but did not wait to move. She would wait until he released her, as trying to wiggle away was a sign of weakness, in her eyes.
Last post! Thanks for the thread! :D
The female was easy to bowl over, and Damien held tight to her neck until she decided she'd had enough of him. IN the moment he stepped away, triumphant, but respectful of the female.. She had done an amazing job giving Damien a couple good blows and even drawing blood, but he held no grudges towards her and would never underestimate her again.
"You're a fighter," praised Damien, and then nodded before walking away. The spar had been enjoyable, and she had proved her abilities had a future in Blackfeather Woods. If only she'd stayed to make it real.
