Palisander had been staying in the meadow. He had been rather pleased with the open field and the flowers that it contained. The young male did not need much, after all it was summer. He could just stay in the meadow not needing any shelter. He made a fresh kill that he had been feasting on. It had been a quick rabbit he managed to snatch and eat. A male his size did not feel full after just a rabbit, but it kept his satisfied. The small stream that ran through the meadow made him clean again.

After his meal he decided to explore further, towards the mountains. He noticed that there were more wolf scents around this edge of this meadow. Perhaps there was even a pack somewhere around here. His blood orange eyes scanned over the high grass, deciding to jump on a big lone rock and look out over the high grass. His tail was held in a high but neutral stance. It was not dominantly pointing up, just curiously waving behind him as he scanned the rest of the meadow from the lone rock.

She had been made beta, but she despared. Deep in her heart, she knew a fact. Rosings was failing. What members they did have had vanished or turned traitor, leaving them with few, so few, members. It was not enought to sustain their land, and with autumn, then winter coming, something had to change and fast. So caught up was she in her thoughts that she completely missed the male, her back to him as she slunk beyond the borders, head low as she deseraptely tried to formulate a plan to keep the ragtag bunch afloat.

Was she at her brightest, she would have most definitely noticed the male, however, she made her may a little further into the meadow before sitting with her back to him a distance away, staring into the flowers dully.

While the male was scanning over the meadow from the large rock the male watched how a female came into view. She did not look that happy, actually, she looked quite sad. Palisander slowly tipped his head, wondering what to do. He was not sure if he wanted to cheer up a female, because sad females could be horribly unpredictable.

He jumped off the rock, in a snap decision he decided that he would go to her anyhow. He could always leave her be if she didn't want the company. What the male did know was that a shoulder to cry on would be something he might be able to use later. That sounded bad but it was the way of life, wasn't it? The male approached the female, sounding a chuff to let her know he was approaching. "I know it is not very nice to say but you look terribly with such a dull expression."
