Feel free to post responses to his leaving, if anyone would like to. He has already left the scene, so he won’t be there to chat. I’ll archive this on Friday the 20th. Bye, guys! ♥
Permission to find @Zoratto’s body was given.

The winter had proven to be the harshest of his lifetime thus far, the weather merciless. Ice and snow—entirely too much snow, in fact. During the fall, the chill of the air had hardly bothered him. However, now it seemed as if even the slightest of breezes could pierce his skin and freeze his blood. It was a painful cold, the danger equalling its beauty. Had he been able to, he would have remained within the den that he’d once shared with Aesop, but he’d known himself to be unable to do so. Zoratto was out there and, whilst he wasn’t nearly as high up, the Greek was concerned about his well-being. Being a wolf of the plains, and given the visit he’d once received from his friend, Alastor doubted that he had any real ability to protect himself from the cold. With the masked male in mind, he’d set out down the mountain.

Even grounds were within his sight when he slipped, body crashing against the snow underfoot, which he’d then slid down. Stunned, it’d taken him a moment to realize what had happened and push himself up to his feet, wincing as a jolt of pain shot through his shoulder. Luckily, it seemed as if he hadn’t sustained any serious injuries, and so he’d intended to continue his search for the other foreigner—a search that had been cut short as he stumbled over what he’d originally thought to be a fallen branch. Upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the branch wasn’t a branch at all, or anything similar. Instead of feeling the roughness of bark, he’d felt fur, and immediately began digging away at the snow that hid the rest of the form. The more snow that he removed, the further his heart sank until his chest felt hollow, seeing the face of Zoratto. Alastor tried to remove the snow entirely, but stopped as soon as he’d realized that the other male was no longer alive; he likely hadn’t been for several hours, at least, given how cold his corpse was.

Having discovered the body of a close friend, he’d backed away, horror in his eyes. He’d not been able to keep the male alive, he’d failed at giving him a life. And though it hurt, what hurt more was the realization that he could very well have two lost lives weighing on his shoulders. Aesop, the man that had lured him to the mountain in the first place, had disappeared before the storm, but that didn’t mean that he hadn’t gotten trapped in it. Looking between Zoratto’s body and the peak, he’d realized what he needed to do and tilted his head back against the wind. With a howl of farewell, and a song of mourning, the Greek did his best to cover his friend’s body with the snow, and then began his journey away from the mountain. If Aesop was out there, if he was still alive, then Alastor would find him and make sure he stayed that way. He would save his dearest friend, or he would fade away whilst trying.
