-For @Tsukiko but all others welcome-
It was sundown, and the Prince was enjoying the Night Come, the final rays of Ra touching the horizon in the fated farewell. Soon, the Night Sun would hold the land, basking the wilderness with a pure and pale glow.
Anubis watched for some time, the bleeding strands or the lowering sun, ears erect and posture regally held straight and tall, even while sitting. Time had gone by as the ebony heir was soon blanched in the Night's touch.
His high gone, he took a breath, deep and resounding in his finely arched chest before he reclaimed his fours and made a trek to find prey for the night. Whether it be a rabbit of a possum, something was bound to spring his way.

The world was a large thing, an endless thing, and he tread across its surface like a flea across the back of a dog; mostly in fits and starts. Night had fallen by the time Tsukiko found himself among a glade of trees again - these were no different from any other copse he'd slipped by, ducked around, or climbed over. He was hardly interested in the quality of the landscape considering the hunger in his belly, and the fact he had been moving at such a staccato pace for so long.
When he chose to pause and rest, even for a mere moment, this was when Tsukiko had a chance to really take things in. The gray of the oncoming night was broken up by the arrival of starlight -- or rather, what he thought were stars were something else. Something closer, something he couldn't name. The lights buzzed and moved about the glen as if they were mere motes of dust, except they must have been more than that. Sometimes when he leaned too close to them, or turned his sharp snout, the stars would drift around him.
He thought, in the basic manner a feral thing might think, that he was in need of sleep. This was further cemented in Tsukiko's weary mind when he began to slink along again. The man absently followed the floating stars as they spun around him - to the point where he was met with a pair of bright eyes among the darkness, but no discernable figure attached to it. With a soft snort he paused, pulled back, and made sure to keep some distance between himself and the stranger he had abruptly come across.

Anubis had no idea what specific prey dwelled among the lands, though he had hoped it was similar to anything he had come across. If it was, there were easy pickings to be made, but his appetite was a bit more cumbersome than what he had originally expected. Long ears flicked to face his rear as the sharp pangs began to make themselves known to him.
His front had been met with another, one who backtraced their path to him, making it a bit clear how they wished to not sidturb his peace or serinity; yet he was not at peace. His stomach urged him to find sustenance, and Anubis knew from experience how much easier a task could be dealt with if there were two lupines in the hunt, not just one.
So approaching the nearing stranger, the Egyptian heir swished his tail in a friendly manner, muzzle outcast from him slightly to grasp a better scent leave from the company. As he neared, he barked out to the slightly offset wolf that had stumbled across him.
"Fear not, I am friend if you are too," he began if his lightly arabic accented tones. A second ticked between the two lupines, and he added with hope winding into his smooth words. "Would you assist in a hunt? Much can be accomplished through two warriors, rather than just one."

In the days since his arrival Tsukiko had encountered enough wolves to not be surprised when they spoke, yet the quality of this one's voice coupled with the sheer number of words made him gawk for a moment. He couldn't process as fast as another wolf, perhaps. But he understood, even if he was silent and strange in his manners. The man's ears fanned forwards as he listened in to the dark wolf while the rest of him remained poised and tense, as undecided as the rest of him if this was an avenue of risk he was willing to rush down.
Tsukiko understood hunt; he understood friend too, and was pleasantly surprised when the stranger's body language matched up with his intonation. The man thought of inviting the shadow along in some way - as he could not speak, had not spoken in such a long time he had essentially forgotten how - and awkwardly dipped in to some sort of bow. It was almost like the play-bow of invitation to a game, as he had played with Hydra, but more mechanical. More forced. He couldn't shake the nervous feeling in his body that made his gait stiff or his manners cold.
But he was hungry, and knew the other was hungry too - so he would have to wait and see if his message was properly conveyed. Yes, hunt, yes, friend.

The Prince couldn't hear a response from brown counterpart though his elongated ears searched for one, regardless. Sun hued jewels kept on the leanly gaunt frame of the wolf before him, head canting in an observant manner as he deciphered what was spoken through body language. It was agreeance, yes, and as strange as the comeback was, Anubis accepted it without bias. There were several considerations that could have influenced the wolf to not vocally respond to him. Perhaps he knew not the Wolf-Speak, and was a foreigner such as himself. Though he had picked up the language, some were not as fortunate. Mayhap the lupine was a mute, damage to vocals causing him eternal silence. The Sekket did not judge, as long as the wolf was capable of assisting him and being a proper Prey Slayer, all was well between he and the beige touched man.
Anubis began the path to success, heading in a direction that he felt would have a higher opertunity at good game, turning to look over a strapping shoulder to make sure the other had caught onto the idea: to follow, or atleast attempt to find a trail, as well. A few strands of rabbit holes skattered across the lands while the handsome male deciphered a bigger picture, and soon something caught his interest.
"Boar musk permeates this field."
