she'd slipped from the den for the first time in her short life; the girl being - to this point - very unconcerned with the outside world. but a spot of colour, yellow and vivid against the greens and browns and blues of the outside, changed that swiftly.

she was up and out of the den in what seemed like an instant, waddling over to the tinny bloom and sticking her muzzle into the goldenness of it, inhaling with delight the faint odour it emitted.

Sebastian was resting before Aviana's den. He often did that when Aviana was busy herself or when she was resting. He loved his little niece. She was a wonderful little bundle of joy. When Seb heard some rustling he didn't look up at first. He kept his eyes closed as he took in some of the sun's sunlight. The male's ear twitched as he tensed something close to him. He opened his eyes and glanced up.

His eyes fell on Faye. He smiled and instantly pushed himself to his feet. "Hi Little Explorer," he hummed softly and then nosed over her briefly in greeting. She seemed fine so he plopped down again. It was good in his eyes that she was so eager to explore. Especially with uncle Seb on the lookout. "Flower," he spoke when she seemed interested in the flower.

nose on her pelt had her blink, gaze sweeping towards her uncle as her tail began to wag. the thing was given a name, processed slowly but surely somewhere in the back of her mind. tail wagged a little harder when he seemed to approve, and while her paws itched to waddle toward him, instead she parted her jaws wide and attempted to shove all the pretty yellow things inside, intent on giving them a taste.

Sebastian watched proudly at the pup as she wagged her tail excitedly. She seemed interested in flowers. That would be a good thing! He could teach her medicine or botany if she kept her interest in plants. Maybe it was something that could run into the family from now on; Helping others instead of hurting them.

He watched at the pup tried to eat it. Exploring with mouth phase was official then. Sebastian smiled. He knew that this flower wouldn't do her any harm. He made sure to take away dangerous plants that he knew from the den. The flower probably wouldn't taste nice but then again he was going to let her experience that herself. He just went to lie down beside her if she wanted to share her experience with him or if she would need assistance.

bitterness exploded against her palette. faye spat the yellow globs from her mouth clumsily, backpedaling and bumping into her uncle suddenly. paws swiped at her maw furiously, and when the taste was diminished did she look up at him, something like betrayal write across her tiny features at the terrible taste resulting from such a pretty thing.

Sebastian chuckled at the girl's face turned bad. Sebastian watched with a relaxed expression at the girl. To her, it might feel like her trust was broken but he knew how a child worked by now. "If I said no you would have tried it anyway," he told her. She probably couldn't understand him yet but she could understand his tone, and that one was relaxed. So she shouldn't worry about anything. Sebastian had just eaten a fish so as a response he gagged a small bit of regurgitated fish before her. Maybe she would want to try that as well. This would probably more to her liking. "Try it," he offered, making clear in his body language that it was for her to eat.
