@Sae <3
It was a day that did not happen often, she was not on duty but that could change at any moment. She was the child watcher of thia pack, of her family but it was nice to be able to stretch out and not worry about a child trying to answer the call of the sea. To not have to comfort someone that waa not quite ready to leave the security of their birth den, she loves doing all of these tasks but sometimes it was nice to be able to breath.Pale, two toned eyes slipped closed for a short moment as she rolled in the fully blooming row of lavender on top of the hill. Eve when she was not on duty as a baby sitter, she was thinking of ways to calm them. Her fur being lathered with the scent of the calming herb would bring peace to the troubled children that thought it was time to be rough with each other. When she stopped she finally lifted herself off of the few crushed stems and shook the excess petals from her minuscule frame, only to sit to look at the falling sun. This was always the perfect view to watch the sunset on the horizon.

It had only been a couple of days since he had been accepted into the pack by the Huángdì. They had spent a little time together as she had shown him around the island. After the tour, he was left to find a den to call his own. He had stumbled across a couple that were already claimed before he found one that was without any scent markings.
It was strange and almost surreal, knowing he was in a pack. He wondered how his brothers were fairing and if they had found a pack. It seemed unlikely that Sang-eo and Yeon-eo would separate. They were liked one pup when they had been born; one pup always shadowing the other; they were inseparable. And even if they hadn't found a pack to call their own, they would still be alright, so long as they stayed together.
All these thoughts of his family had pressed him out of his new den. He hadn't felt it easy to rest when he had been traveling on his own. Knowing he was in the safety of a pack made it easier up to rest, and so he had. But with the thoughts of his family on his mind, he came out to clear away the homesickness.
A familiar, calming scent had led the wolf to a field of lavender. Some of the lavender stalks rustled and the newcomer noticed a flicker of black fur. The wolf pushed carefully forward through the lavender and found a slight she-wolf settled in the patch she seemed to have been rolling in.

My mother used to do that.He said it gently, so hopefully not to startle the female.
Sorry for the delay @Daiyu ❤️
Mother use to do that.
It was obvious that she was not a warrior like most of those that gathered and called this island home. A slight jump came to her dark form as the words registered, she was no longer alone. He was gentle in his words but she could not fight instinct that was beat into her for so long, her ears fell in submission. She gave him a soft smile as she thought of how to reply, his mother use to do as she was. Was she a healer, a caregiver? She had so many question and he had spoken first but it was not polite to ask so many questions.
"She sounds very caring, your mother," she spoke softly, as her two tone eyes met his. She did sound like a nice woman and Daiyu wished that she knew her own mother to say hers was the same but be mother was just a woman made to breed another line of slaves. "Would you care to join this one in watching?" she ask as she wished her tongue would let her form the word me, it sounded so beaten. This one.

Despite his best efforts, it seems he may have frightened the girl. Her ears fell back against her head and he wondered if he had accidentally embarrassed her. He understood the feeling, which is maybe why he tried to approach her and announce his presence as gingerly as he could. She smiled at his comment though, so the Blackbird felt as though his intrusion wasn’t so horribly offending.
It was strange how the scent of lavender triggered forgotten memories of when he was a whelp. The forgotten but familiar feeling of his mother’s soft pelt. The illusory scent of milk that lingered with the scent of lavender here. Sae shook his head gently to bring himself from the past. Just in time too. The lavender-doused spoke again, but he stumbled to understand what she was offering. Would you care to join this one in watching?
Was ‘this one’ the way she referred to herself?
Yes, she was,he replied.

I’m sorry… I didn’t quite understand you,he admitted, his ears falling with shame.

Did you… Were you offering me to join you?he asked a moment later.

A sad note hit the girl as she listened to how his more was caring, past tense. She was no longer of this world, a caring woman that would roll in lavender to calm her children and those around her. Another bright soul darkened by death but she was up there, her light would shine in the night sky forever. She gave him a reassuring smile but did not comment, she wished she could meet someone that did what she did.
Her invitation was no in question, her wording confusing the blackbird before her. Oh, right.. Shame colored her dark face as she dropped her eyes to her purple tinted paws, he did not understand the way she spoke. She remembered the fire boy, @Orochi, and his harsh words about how she spoke. She knew it was weird but she could not fix this habit. Too many hours of training, too many beatings to cement this behavior.
"Yes, for you to sit or lay with.. ah.. near.. to watch the sun set." She looked up at him as she tried to explain. What she was the way she was.. "this one waa trained to never say.. to refer to one's self with individuality.. sorry for.. the confusion." she smiled sadly .
