Neverwinter Forest birds of a feather

It was early morning, and Jaws had been on the move most the night. The first light of dawn was just beginning to break through the evergreens as he slipped beneath a cluster low hanging branches, scratching out a bed to lie down in. Just as the coywolf was drifting into sleep, a shower of snow landed on his head and he let out an exasperated sigh, knowing just the reason for this disturbance; a gray jay had landed clumsily on the branches above.

Two days prior, Jaws was hunting and caught sight of a hawk set upon the ground. It had just captured its dinner and was about to fly off when Jaws grabbed it. From its grasp fell the small gray jay, frightened and ruffled but unharmed. The coywolf paid little attention to it, the hawk was more than enough for a meal, and because he was travelling, Jaws was not caching any extra food. Since then the bird had followed him, gradually moving in closer and closer.

"I should have eaten him," Jaws grumbled as he rose from his very temporary bed and shook himself free of the snow. Since sleep was out of the question, he settled into an unhurried walk as the gray jay flew from branch to branch around him, keeping its distance.

The heavy boughs of evergreens greeted the Ostrega with gentle tugs, like the waving hands of peasants grasping at a queen's trailing robes. It had been easy to find Neverwinter again, and despite her initial reserve against the shaded woods, she had found herself drawn to return, guided by an uncanny fondness for her self-proclaimed kingdom of trees. From the air of things the forest had not missed her rule with too great a sorrow, hardly a concern for Andalusia as she made her winding way between the wooded girth of her subjects.

But Andalusia was not alone, and she raised her head to catch a better glimpse of the stranger trailing through the heart of her kingdom. She slighted her head to the left, considering at first the man was the warrior who had fought beside her against the yearling coyote, but his gait did not match, nor did the scent that filled her nostrils when she breathed in the chill air. This man was a stranger, and curiosity naturally drew her forth.

But the words that slipped from her mouth were anything but a generic greeting when her eyes lifted to see the fluttering jay that aggravated the branches above - and likely the man below. "Good sir, looks like you've got a stalker," she mused with a glint in her silvery eyes, then moved her gaze to take in the strange man before her, his fur ebony as a starless night. Yet it was his face that drew her most, boasting fine features strikingly similar to Andalusia's own: topping ears, and a slender muzzle uncommon for that of a pureblood wolf.

Jaws knew it was unlikely he would go too long before encountering one or more of the park residents. So far, every area he travelled through had been blanketed by a mixture of fresh and old scent alike, indicative of frequent and continual use. Having spent almost the entirety of his life away from heavily populated areas, Jaws was out of his element here; but the wolf blood was calling and if he were to settle down he had no other choice but to move in from the fringes.

The coywolf had not gone far on his walk when the soft sound of paws in the snow touched his ever-listening ears. He turned to see the approach of another wolf - or was it? Had he not been part coyote himself he may not have taken so much notice of the fine shape of her ears and muzzle, but they to him were unmistakable.

When she spoke, Jaws stepped toward her with a rascally grin as his bi-colored eyes raked every curve of her supple figure. "But who could blame you?" He said, knowing very well she was referring to the gray jay and not herself.

A crooked grin tugged compulsively at her face when he met her with his wit, but she was quick to abandon the humoured look the moment she felt his gaze search across her frame. "Don't flatter yourself." Still she could not deny he was oddly handsome, long-limbed and rugged. Had she been any other she'd have flirted right back. Yet her forward thoughts held no space for such childish infatuation. Leave crushes for little girls: the Ostrega did well without.

"It's not often one comes across a wolf like yourself." From the lips of another her words could be taken as a tease in return, but she countered the possibility with the look she cast alongside the remark. Though her eyes still shone with their characteristic mirth, she drew her expression as one of careful curiosity, keeping well away from puppy dog eyes and coy turns of the head. She seldom encountered other wolves like her in her travels, and he intrigued her most for this.

It did not seem that Jaws' forward approach, while successful many times before, would bring him the entertainment he had been thinking of. Her response had been quick and clear, to which Jaws simply shrugged his shoulders. As a confident male he was not phased by rejection.

When she spoke again he knew she was fishing for confirmation that, though they differed in their ideas of how this meet should go, the two were alike in blood. A blank expression replaced his grin as he stared intensely at her, meeting her silver-blue eyes with his of silver and amber, lingering in a moment's silence. "Like you?" he finally countered, his voice quiet and serious. They both knew, there was no point to acting like they didn't.

Reservations aside, Andalusia fancied the sharpness of his mind, for he did not miss a beat of her inflections. Rather he returned her words with shrewd brevity, and in this she found a great wealth of respect for the ebony man. Though his grin faded to intense neutrality, a crooked smile crept along Andalusia's own fine face and she raised her head from its forward lean, a product of her deep intrigue. "Yes." She countered in short reply. That another could so easily pick out her coyote heritage normally would have left her disgruntled, but this case was different, for reasons she felt clear.

"You're new to these parts, aren't you?" she queried, assuming such only because he still carried the scent of barren wilderness on his tousled fur. The aroma of others did not cling to him, and she concluded he had not yet bound himself to a pack. A traveller like herself, perhaps? An outrider, a vagrant, or a man in search of place to call home?

The gray jay had made itself scarce, hiding high among the thickest boughs. While it was content to follow and pester Jaws it clearly was not interested in being around other wolves.

A faint hint of Jaws' roguish smile returned when she replied and confirmed what he already knew. Like her, he was accustomed to others not recognizing the full truth of his breeding, but they both seemed to understand it only came easy in this case because they were seeing a part of themselves reflected in each other.

When she asked if he was knew to the area his face once again turned blank as he simply stared back. Jaws did not freely give away information, but it was futile to deny obvious truths. Locals knew by scent and by experience when they were faced with fresh blood. "I am," he replied with a slight nod of his head. "Have I picked a good place to visit?" Jaws quirked a brow at her - he did not like to give information but was open to receiving it.

For a moment she wondered if she had pressed the man too far, but she let the worry subside, hardly one to hold herself back. If he denied his novelty to the land, she would be inclined to think him a liar, for her observations spoke otherwise. Concrete evidence held greater weight than words when the two entered conflict. To her pleasure, however, the cunning man confirmed what she suspected. The lingering hints of her grin remained fixed on her face, despite the ebony's straight-faced reaction to her words. "The quality of a place is rather subjective, no?" she mused, letting a beat of silence pass as she looked up, as if assessing the canopy of conifer boughs crowding the sky above their heads. "It's a little muddy at times, and suffocating, but for a forest it's about as good as you get. Though if you want high traffic, I'd suggest sticking to the north and southern tips," she paused and drew her gaze upon the man again, face never changing but eyes alighting with a humoured glow, though there was hardly anything amusing to her words, "and if you want nothing to do with packs, then stay well away from there."

"If the trees don't get up and walk I would say it's just fine." Jaws' remarked with a wink, witholding his rationale for assessing an area's worth. A place had either food, water, shelter or some combination thereof, and on that alone he judged it. As a survivalist, he was adept at making the most of any landscape, and seldom stopped to consider extrinsic qualities such as beauty or comfort.

His fellow coywolf was forthcoming in enlightening him to a greater density of residents on the northern and southern tips. It was this kind of information that benefited him greatly as he struggled to decide what it was he wanted. "Ah, good to know," he said with a nod. "Thanks." Before she could ask him a question in return, he queried her further. "Would I be right in assuming you are unaffiliated?"

As of late, Neverwinter Forest had been her haunt of choice. There was a herd passing through the area that she kept up with, waiting for one she knew to have been injured to keel over. It was falling behind by the day, and Tiger was fortuitous enough to be around for it. The pickings would be rather slim otherwise, and Tiger knew rabbits wouldn't be enough to keep her stomach full for long enough to survive the length of time she might have to. The woman didn't want to join a pack around these parts without her sister in it to leave them when she inevitably found her... but at the end of the day, Tiger also knew she'd eventually do what she needed to to survive.

The slight and spry Irish lady sniffed at the wind, ears swiveling as she caught the tail-end of a conversation, noting a question asked at the end. And as she came around the bend, she observed the other turn tail without so much of a word. What'd you do to scare her off, she quipped dryly, her wedgelike muzzle turning from departing wolf to the one that remained.

Andalusia (if you come back and see this), hope you don't mind that we PPed your character out for the sake of finishing the thread. We can have another sometime if you wish! :)

Whether the other female did not want to answer more questions, had other matters to attend to, or found that three was a crowd did not concern Jaws, who watched her leave and then turned his attention to the new arrival with not another thought given to the retreating wolf. A subtle but nonetheless rascally smile played on his lips as he eyed the white female, his gaze drawn to travel across the dark stripe she bore down her spine before returning to her face. "Not everyone is into threesomes," he quipped back, his tail swished across the snow as he seated himself.

Didn't the old saying go, if at first you don't succeed, try try again?

SORRY ABOUT THAT, my bad! &_&_& if anything u can act like tiger = delusional.... or she went to pee or something... for some reason I thought u were removed *derps*

Tigers eyes remained upon Jaws, and when he responded, a roguish grin crept across her features. Pity, she drawls, and taking a few steps toward where Andalusia was, she peered back to the now seated Jaws. So it's over between you two... I suppose that'd be a deal breaker for me, too. She shrugs, uncommitted to her comment and unsure what truly would constitute the end of anything with her... aside from wanting a family, which, evidently, had been too much for her this season and led her to flee her prior pack. Kids were a deal breaker at the moment, then, too.

Then she looks to him, playing on his comment once more, drawling out, Unless it's you not interested in the threesomes. I'm the adventurous sort, myself. If you couldn't beat them, join them.

No, you're good! You / I were supposed to PP her out. She's not removed because there seems to be a glitch in the activity checker that ignores Lone Wolves. She hasn't been online since Feb 21. So carry on! I just added my message as a courtesy should she come back and check old threads.

"Oh no, the more the merrier." He replied in a slightly husky tone, his smile broadening to a grin. Even if he did not get the gold at the end of the rainbow he enjoyed the chase, however fleeting it may turn out to be. Jaws stood, stepped forward and slowly skirted along the female's body, not touching but just, turning at her rear and drawing up the other side before resuming his place in front of her, with a quirked brow, his grin still present. "What sort of adventures?" He leaned forward, ears cocked with interest, his gaze fixated on hers.

PHEW I was worried for a second haha

The Blackthorn woman was flirtatious, but hardly devoted herself fully to what she offered. Often times she bit more than she could chew, but she was a woman who loved the taste too much to care whether or not she could afford the price she may need to pay. His words caused her features to mimic his own.

His query brought an impish gleam to her eyes, and as he drew up her side, she moved to nip at a shoulder of his, the gesture lazy and playful, before she stepped aside, a roguish grin taking hold as she responded lowly, All sorts. Tiger took a confident step forward, but not toward him, knowing that the power of imagination went far above and beyond any details she could give about her ventures. Her own gaze remained locked on his own, as she prowled around him like the tiger she was named for.

"You don't say," Jaws said in smoky voice as she lay a nip upon his shoulder, which he may have returned had she not stepped away from him. Had he been an imaginative sort his mind might have ran away with wonder at what adventures this female had, what conquests she had made, but Jaws was not one to get let his thoughts wander; inclined instead to stay in the moment, to react to what was at hand rather than concern himself what was and what may or may not be.

As she moved to circle him in turn, his paws remained fastened to the ground, but his head turned so that his eyes may follow and when her rump passed so teasingly near he reached out with a snap, bringing his teeth together with a click but never touching her. "Ready for another?" He invited with a suggestive sway of his shoulders as she came around in front of him, his gaze narrowed with hot intensity.

Tiger liked to believe his thoughts ran off with him, and had no way of knowing that they did not... so she did. Tiger was imaginative. Her mind thought up the most impossible things, and then, ways to do those things to make them possible. Tiger was as much as a dreamer as she was a doer, fortunately. But some thoughts she simply couldn't make good on. Tiger let out a laugh, the feeling his teeth might have left tangible as though they had landed their mark. A pleasant shudder, and she threw her muzzle over her shoulder.

That depends, comes her own voice, a light lilt, What sort? Tiger was a woman who liked things said aloud, so she did not feel the fool when she misunderstood or misread. No, she liked to know. It was less about always being right, and more about not being a moronic imbecile that was, well, delusional at things she thought she understood. But also, this was more than just being something for her to read, to understand; there was an appeal in being wanted... even if only for a time.

"We could take a trip," Jaws suggested as he stepped forward, invading her space with his muzzle hovering beside her own, gaze cast sideways on her. She had not pushed back his advances, and had even made some of her own, and now the coywolf was moving in for the kill. Jaws enjoyed teasing, was entertained by the game, but he always liked to close the deal at the end - never content to part his company feeling unfulfilled and thoroughly riled. He put his teeth to her jaw, nipping along it lightly before catching the soft spot where it met her neck with a firmer bite, pressing into her with a hungry growl. "I know a place - a thrilling place," he breathed into her neck. "I can take you there."

Riling others up was one of the promiscuous Tigers favorite things. Only one had succeeded in convincing her right back; it was the easiest thing in the world to convince a man to give into his loins, after all. No others could make her blood run quite so hot as that first mysterious one had, and he was long gone. That was fine; Tiger had no desire to keep him.

The jetblack male moved toward her, suggesting a trip. It was her ears that perked forward now, interest the prevalent feature upon her, and she allowed him into her space. Her own bright eyes looked to his, and Tiger felt his fangs brush her first gently, and as he moved to her sensitive throat Tiger let out a low growl. It was strange to trust this stranger so implicitly, but it became perfectly clear to Tiger what she wanted now. He wanted the same thing. And so as he pressed into her, Tiger felt herself moving nearer to his own neck, to lay hot kisses where his jaw met his throat if he remained... His words were only half-heard, but it is Tigers turn to move, her body shifting to drag alongside his own as though she were a cat. I think, comes her own voice, husky as his own had began, I would like to see this place. Would you... take me? She grins and turns on her heel so that she was sideways to him, the whole of her exposed for his eyes to take in. Tiger was not a vain wolf by any means, but had heard from her eloquent leader herself she had the build any man would dream of. Birthing hips and all. The latter thought brought her to, birthing hips... and it would be up to the inky male before her to bring her back into her lust-driven reverie.

"Mmhmm," Jaws murmured his confirmation as the she-wolf glided along his rugged body, and as she turned broadside he was all to eager to take in the sight before him, his bi-colored gaze travelling languidly over every contour of her slender figure. When at last his eyes found her tail he moved in close once more, brushing her muzzle once with his own before leaving a burning trail of enticing bites and nuzzles along the length of her spine. He pressed his nose against her flank when he got there, rumbling with fervor. "Still want me to take you?"

There was only one move left for him, before Kris would have to break out the bunnies ;)

It was easy for him to bring her back, and her eyes narrowed as he drew nearer and nearer to her hind-end, but Tiger was not about to say no now. She'd worked herself up, and was ready to go. Let's see just how thrilling this place is, confirming the fact that she wanted to go at all, a wolfish grin overtaking her features. Tiger watched him, waiting for him to make that last move, and enabling it with the shifting of her tail.

it will be fun when he meets her again in RHC :P

Jaws required no further convincing than the invitation that her tail offered as it slid to the side, exposing her for him. With a hungry growl he reared up and grasped the white female about her hips with long, strong legs. He did not make her wait a moment longer, and took her for the hard, thrilling ride he promised.

It was a short but intensely hot affair; there had been no lover's tenderness in the male's rhythm, only a ravenous search for mutual pleasure and he dismounted her fully spent and completely satisfied. Jaws planted a finishing nip on her rump before his devilish gaze sought hers.

Hahaha yes!

Tiger braced herself as his weight came upon her, and on their adventure they went—

And thrilling it was. Yes, short, but they certainly both arrived to some marvelous destination and by the end of it, she was well knackered. She could only grin at his nip, taking a step away and turning toward him. It would seem they were both satisfied customers, and she had no regrets. We'll have to do that again sometime, if we ever run into each other again, Tiger grins, knowing the odds were incredibly slim. Her wave of euphoria was still there, and the spent Tiger wondered how he'd respond.

Jaws grinned wickedly. "I'm always game," he replied with a sultry tone to his voice as he stepped along side the girl, intentionally rubbing his body against hers before brushing her cheek with a single stroke of his tongue. "Until we meet again," the coywolf winked and as he strolled past her he gave her a playful flick with his tail. He took his leave then, without another glance back. He doubted he would ever see her again but would welcome the opportuniy if he did.

Tiger grinned at his words, and if possible grinned harder at his actions. Bastard. It was Tigers turn to give his buttocks a firm nip, giving him something to remember her by. She watched him go, and when he was well out of her sight, Tiger went to find some grub. After that activity, there would be nothing better than to find good eats.
