Another of a kind

Jasper smiled at the vixen and joined her, not paying mind to the countless twigs sticking him at the soft spots. He looked intently around for any sign of berries, his eyes squinting. His nose twitched, trying to find trace of the fruit. He didn't know exactly what he was doing, it seemed to him he was trying to impress the female. But for what reason? As pretty as she was, she probably already had a male back home. His luck with females never really turned out to be luck, but pure male instincts gone wrong. But he shook his head from those thoughts, now he just had to find some berries, whatever they looked or smelled like.
