As luck would have it, Luke was in the neighborhood and heard Peregrine's call. The blue-nosed wolf was not expecting the summon and stopped in his tracks with surprise. For a moment he thought it must have been two weeks and he had lost track of time, but he was fairly certain that was not the case. Either way, he was delighted to send a return howl into the sky, saying that he was on his way, and start a brisk jog to the lake. It never crossed his mind that Peregrine was being 'overeager', he did not think like that, he was simply glad for the chance to hang out with his companion again.

Luke was not far and arrived within a quarter hour, and as his gaze found the strapping male's dark figure, he called out in his usual chipper voice. "Peregrine!" With his tail swinging he trotted to Peregrine's side, giving the caldera Alpha a friendly shoulder bump as he did so. "Are you out hunting again?" he inquired with a bright smile.
