Luke bristled; his easy expression a thing of the past, and Delilah felt her guard go up. Was he going to turn against her because she had had contact with Humans? Had she been right? Fear pooled off her in waves. She hadn't been in any scuffles during her journey here; and she certainly didn't want to get in one now. She couldn't fight; she didn't want to try to either. But she could run. She could run as fast as the wind, and she was prepared to.

However, he calmed down almost immediately, the brief flash of aggression gone as though the wind had changed direction, and straightened up with a much softer look in his eyes.
