as always, enjoyed it immensely! We shall have to have another soon (though our other is still ongoing :P haha)

"Not a sound," he responded lightly, though he looked sideways at her out of his periphery.  He had held a title, once, but he much preferred theirs.  A title given by a friend was well earned... Unlike one born into.  "Perhaps another time," he agreed, falling silent a moment before a soft "goodnight" followed.

He would likely not be falling asleep soon, and instead watched the play of shadows cast by the moon's glow in the trees. As he did so, he listened to the regular breathing next to him, and he felt the thrum of satisfaction. It really was a fine thing not to spend the night alone. After a time he too drifted off, a light but restful sleep that would allow for waking should it be required.
