She looked towards her daughter. "Potema, hold his mouth open." She placed the stick closer towards his mouth, easing it closer.

The stick entered, going down his throat towards his stomach. It was tedious work, but it had to be, or she would tear through his throat. Meldresi paused every once and a while to let Burke get used to the pressure, before pushing further. Hopefully, he would not struggle, or he might hurt himself immensely.
