Even if the change in leadership was bringing about unsettled and fretful faces, Ivev was cordially going along with it. Since she knew of these females, the arctic wolf saw no reason to abandon the small practice she was building within the Spine and follow Cara to parts unknown, especially since the former queen had eloped with some stranger. There would be no ill-will towards Cara in Ivev's heart, however, just understanding and the hopefulness that they could forgive Cara and look to their new future with Tonravik at their helm.

The female had taken shelter from the rain along one of the trails, camped out under one of the many conifers that caught the water along its fingers. Now that the clouds had passed, the wolf gingerly unwrapped herself, feeling the dull ache of the mucky air seeping into her long since healed wounds. Standing up, she could see down the thin trail, of which Echelon was trooping up. Ivev had already greeted the ebony female when they first gathered, but she still had the same sort of tail-wagging excitement of seeing an old friend. Ivev held herself back, but still allowed a wide smile on her face.
