He felt ready, sufficient, maybe he was a bit cocky, but he felt that Burke had been a great master, only less greater than Damien had been a student. And he felt ready to take the blow.

indentHe couldn't evade the teeth, which sank right into the back of his neck. But he had been fast enough to lower his body and avoid being tackled by the wight, which had let go off his neck. He was also smart enough to know that the dog was weak, and so he took a step back and waited for it to make it's next move. He didn't yet know how little chance he would have to defent from this dog with the little experience ha had in the field, but he was excited about it; scared, yes, but really excited.
