Redhawk Caldera A birth and a death on the same day

He was within a few inches of the raccoon when the cunning Sebastian lifted it and spun away, leaving Nightjar to snap his tiny jaws shut on nothing. This was repeated a few times before Sebastian held the raccoon low enough that the pup hit his mark. He immediately dug his feet into the ground and pulled, exerting all of his effort to try to dislodge the raccoon from Sebastian's firm grip.

The boy wasn't expecting Sebastian to make it easy, so when the older male let go, Nightjar stumbled backward and fell over with the dead body's weight. He was quick to let go of the raccoon, proving to all onlookers that he wasn't even really interested in it, and went for Sebastian again, this time looking for a jaw spar. His eyes shone bright with excitement, he panted and his tail whipped to and fro, giving away that this was a game to Nightjar, who was enjoying it immensely, exhaustion aside.
