Usually Pump would have stuck to her solid belief of saving energy at the expense of never leaving the Sequoia coast. But nothing had ever driven her away from the Ridge. Until now. She had met some wolves outside the known circle, questioned them about the life without a pack or, what was it like to live elsewhere. The wolf-dog had heard different opinions and amidst those tried to form her own. Never before had she questioned her place in life, but now - out of the blue - it had become a very important matter.

Therefore she had wandered very far from Horizon ridge, walked through valleys, past claimed territories and finally climbing the mountain paths. Pump found joy in her lonely wandering, feeling a freedom she had never experienced before. Today she had finally witnessed sight of different land on the other side of the mountain ridge. She recalled Nuata mentioning her new home and wondered, whether this was it.

Only one way to find out! She sought a safe path and made her way down carefully. However the fate had different thing in mind, all of a sudden the solid path gave way, she lost balance and found herself tumbling down the slope along with bigger and smaller rocks. Her fall came to a halt, when her body hit a large rock in her way. Pump was dazed by the sudden turn of events, therefore she lied there, panting and looking around.
