But it didn't matter anymore, none of his past did, not the Plains, not his mother, not his sister, not his father, not his birth status as a bastard. He was starting anew now, and with that, he was throwing everything away. She spoke as if answering her partner, and her partner's question had been what his name was. Perhaps she was renaming him.
