They waited, and before long, the figures of two wolves and a coyote grew upon the horizon. The plains pack came and with it, this ordeal could begin. He hoped it would move quickly, but the chatter between the wolves reminded him of why he'd not made much effort to linger too close before. Their language differences were a barrier. The only wolf he'd known of them to speak the common tongue was still passed out at their feet. A shame. If they were forced to yips and nudges and reenactments to explain everything, this would take half a life time.

All the same, his eyes narrowed as the wolves continued their approach. There was no need to disturb Kivi's form. They could see it. They knew what it meant. But for Ton? No doubt the coyote was a mystery, so he murmured low, filling his mate in on what he knew. "They keep slaves," he spoke possibly explaining the coyote. Kivi'd told him that much. "Sexist culture. Different tongue. Males hunt and protect. Females breed." He glanced at her, hoping she understood it might be better if he did the talking... not that she spoke often unless it was with purpose.

The distance between them all closed. Kero shifted his stance, maintaining his dominance in this scenario as they were equals here on these neutral lands outside their realm. "Ava'yorn," he spoke, greeting them in their own language so as to prove he was no stranger to who and what they were. An outsider, certainly, but their own kind was quick to reveal their culture. Alas, that was the only word he knew so when their Khal spoke, he lifted a brow in question until the coyote proved her worth. A translator. He hoped the beast would translate true.

"She breathes." For now, it was enough. Without care, she might not recover, but it was a far better fate than bringing a dead wolf to their doorway. "She belongs to you, doesn't she? Consider her return a gift. If she threatens our borders a fifth time we will kill her." A little strong out of the gate? Perhaps. But they were done fooling around with these violations. Better to cut straight to the point.
