Idk how I missed this. :o

Fox had heard the call as well, but evidently, she'd been further away than Peregrine. It did not bother her. What did bother her was the fact that a stranger stood talking (calmly?) as Peregrine bristled and made his intentions clear. Fox had had it up to here with that business. What kind of wolf ignored those signals? Right, one that had a death wish. Fox made no effort to listen to what he said as she descended the mountain and took a place next to Peregrine, snapping and snarling at the "stranger's" face.

Perhaps she should have noticed sooner, but he did look a hell of a lot like Sebastian. In fact, he could have passed for him if Fox's nose were broken and the guy still had his whole tail. Unfortunately for him, Fox's nose was perfectly fine and his bobbed tail was a dead giveaway. Unlike Peregrine, she didn't put two and two together to make the parental connection. Fox did not intend to harm the guy, but she did want him to get lost and fast. Failure to do so would result in further action. Two against one wasn't particularly great odds for the guy, either.
