Instantly, his hackles rose and he pivoted to meet any more attacks from either him or the first male, but fortunately, the latter had more sense and moved to intercept the first with check to his side. Still, the blue-nosed wolf remained on guard, eyeing both coolly, but casting a nod of respect to the more sensible of the two.
