Bearclaw Valley exploration

Scarlett had mostly been preoccupied with her children since the three pups from Blackfeather Woods had arrived in Bearclaw Valley. Cicero had not bothered her too much before, during nor after birth, and had mostly stuck to his own: he enjoyed exploring the territory of Bearclaw Valley, as it was so different from the Woods. He enjoyed finding what was in every nook and cranny of it, and being in the comfort of sunshine while he did it, unlike the dark, gloomy Woods. You never knew when you might need such information. Considering Potema and Damien were still very youthful and childish in Cicero's mind, he felt responsible for doing the useful parts of their journey here. First was exploration. Next was friendship.

Cicero held a scrawny squirrel corpse in his mouth as he trotted towards where Scarlett was. He had not seen her since the birth of her children, for he had not wished to bother her. Cicero put the squirrel corpse down and let out a chuffed bark in greeting, hoping that Scarlett was at her den and in the mood to receive company. Cicero had never seen tiny puppies, and he hoped that he would be allowed to see them. If not, he would just drop her the squirrel and be off to explore Bearclaw Valley further.
