Edy figured that the best way to spice up his life today was to pick up his feet and move out of the ridge for a few hours. Sometimes it felt pointless. Even the rank he had attained had worn off in its newness, and the wolf had been left with a renewed sense of failure. He felt as if he was doing something wrong. Surely it had to be his fault that his life felt so drab and boring. With a heavy sigh, the Razorback departed the packlands and ventured toward the sea.

His wandering legs took him west over a river and toward the coast. The near-constant barking sounds of the all-too-familiar seals grew louder and louder, though Edy was not so sure he wanted to get close to them. They were formidable beasts with their tusks and weight, and he did not wish to provoke them. However, a lone figure who was not a seal did catch his attention. Curious, Kennedy moved toward the creature, keeping his distance from the bulls and cows that littered the shore. When the great black fish jumped from the water and gobbled up one of the aforementioned waddling creatures, Edy stood wide-eyed.

But he remembered what had happened to Pied, and knew that the other wolf was far too close for comfort for him. “Get back! That thing’ll eat you!” he shouted, hoping the other would be able to hear him over all the commotion.
