I have heard some of your spine - mountains, yes?" Now that conversation was happening, he found himself resenting the other a little less simply due to the distraction. It wasn't his fault the alpha had been caught in a random sour moment, and Dante tried not to punish him too harshly for it. It was easier that he was respectful and seemed genuine in the conversation.
