"Yes," she murmurs. But she reveals nothing else. This place was not one she knew well. Who was watching? Listening? She had no idea that a cub lurked nearby. It would have proven her point, but, there was no way for her to be sure.
Shego stretches forward. "I will take you to see her soon," she promises in earnest, "Or perhaps you will find her before then."
The witch turned her narrow muzzle in the direction the cub hid. "But she could be anywhere. There are many babes. We will find her..." her head swung back to the bloodied rock, "But we have been given a sign."
She pressed her paw against the blood to obscure it, and smudge it.
