Stavanger Bay Something or other

Floki had experienced a lot in his three months of life. The death of his father and the disappearance of his twin weighed heavily on his heart; he was not as playful as he might have been, had these tragedies not occurred. He had been too young to really get to know Ragnar, so he didn't feel the absence of his father as strongly -- but he missed Jorunn. His twin had been his partner in crime and someone he could communicate with wordlessly. Sure, he had Kaylan and Ragna, but he was not as close to his brother and sister; and besides, they tended to keep to themselves.

He had taken to wandering Stavanger Bay, taking in his surroundings and learning all that he could about the territory. His favorite place was the rocky beach, though on this particular day his paws had carried him into the heart of the forest. The air was thick and humid, and it felt as though the leaves were pressing in around him. But suddenly, he stepped into a clearing and the sound of rushing water filled his ears.

Just ahead of him was a lake, and thundering from a mossy cliff face was a waterfall. Floki paused, blue eyes wide as he observed this natural phenomenon. He was familiar with the ocean and the way the waves moved, but this was a completely different rendition of water. He wondered where the flow came from even as he started to move towards the source, his paws pressing softly into the moist earth.
