Though smaller storms blustered through Hoshor Plains consistently, Vitihi knew the largest was yet to arrive. The summer heat was like a catalyst for the distant rolling clouds that churned violently over the East. However, tonight was unusual. The twilight was obscured. Bright stars smattered the velvety royal blue heavens as a small breeze washed over the grassy fields.

Vitihi laid prone among the tall wheat as the bison heard mooed and mumbled a few leagues away. Though she had spoken to Rakharo about her new position as Khaleesi, the maiden still needed to find peace within herself. It was a big responsibility... and not everyone in the pack was convinced she fit the part. Even Vitihi could admit she was an unusual candidate. She lacked the ferocity and sharpness of a natural leader. Yet, Rakharo saw something within her to secure his choice... and his words was law. It was known.

She watched the stars for sign as she rolled onto her side. Perhaps tomorrow would be easier.
