Dante intended to go to the Rise soon, bearer of unhappy news.  But first he wished to ensure without a doubt that all was well here.  Despite his own reclusive tendencies and the difficulty with which he conversed with others of late, he had his responsibility, and above all else he would not see this pack fall to ruin.  Whatever that may take.

He was on his way to scout a herd at the moment.  It was time for the young ones of the pack to participate in a hunt, at least in an assisting manner.  All three he knew would have no problem picking up on the concept, and he had little doubt that all would be thrilled with the idea.  They deserved some happy excitement after all that had happened.

As he neared the border, he paused.  Sensing something out there, he growled, tail lifting and ears thrusting forward in an attempt to figure out what exactly had flagged him so.  He could not see her yet, but he knew someone was close, and was not fond of this proximity.
