With a rather ungraceful grunt, the swarthy female dropped the pheasant in to the cache, her eyes narrowing as the little bugger fell in to the shadows of the hole. It had been quite the capture in the end, brinking upon near failure – but luck had found its way to the newly acclaimed Valley wolf, and her meal had taken a wrong turn.. one that had solidified its death when her jaws had found their grip.
 
She paused momentarily, her eyes drifting back up. There was a female in Bearclaw Valley whom was pregnant – of that she knew. Vega had kept herself from the political debate of matters, but it had become quite obvious that Raziel had risen to the top – and even more obvious that unless she began to integrate herself among her pack members, then she would fail him.
 
No doubt, the bird would make a fine meal for the mother and her cubs, and so, releasing a gentle chuff, Vega bent her muzzle down, scooping the bird out of the dirt once more. Her dark paws began to lead her in the direction of Scarlett’s den – though she wasn’t even sure anyone would be home right now.
