Bearclaw Valley Like a rushing waterfall

It was happening. The Big Bad that had been building all day finally escaped its cage, raining its anger down upon Bearclaw Valley. Sesi was paralyzed with anxiety when the water began to encroach, swirling about her little legs. It was cold. She stood, staring and shaking, rooted to the spot until Scarlett plucked her up. Only then did she start to move, struggling and wailing as she was transported from the safety of home and into the clutches of the storm.

There was so much noise. It drowned out her screaming, but the little girl was not deterred - she filled her lungs with air again and again, wailing and crying and kicking against her mother, her sisters, her brother, and the tree that offered temporary sanctuary. The severity of the situation was crystal clear to Sesi. This was not a game, or a test, or a lesson - this was life or death. She could sense it down to her very bones, and the fear robbed her of what little sense she had gathered together during her four short weeks on the planet.

The moment she began to settle, sniffling against Nanook, they were off again - Sesi hanging limp in her mother's jaws and the other three following, stumbling up and away from the destroyed den.
