Well, not an outright rejection, which was pleasant. In fact, it seemed like… well, whoa. All of the sudden, the darker female approached her with an air of certainty and gusto that caused Fox's nostrils to flare and her tail to flick back and forth nervously. But what was she so nervous about? Hadn't she initiated this? Yes, yes, she had. And now that initiation had been reciprocated.

She asked about Peregrine (or that was the way Fox read it), and she momentarily wondered if he'd set the whole thing up somehow. Was that even possible? Would he go to such lengths just to hear about her girl-on-girl experiences? She wouldn't put it past him, and honestly, if that was the case, she' have to thank him when she returned. "He wouldn’t protest," Fox assured the other. "He’s the one who suggested it in the first place." Where the stranger had taken a step back, Fox took a step forward, re-closing the space between them.
