New Directions (Iridis Joining thread)

[size=large]Iridis was in a jovial mood, despite his weariness from walking for days on end. Being in a new area was refreshing, different sights and smells and sounds. The weather was different too. It was nicer, more comfortable. He didn't have the faintest idea where he was going, letting his paws do all the work, carrying him into the new and unknown territory. He wasn't sure what to expect, but he was prepared to meet it with the same enthusiasm as he met everything. [/size]

[size=large]He stopped when he caught scent of something,  edging a little closer until he realized he had happened upon the borders of a pack. He took a large step back, putting a safe amount of distance between him and the pack lands. He knew trespassing was not taken lightly,  and he didn't want to push these wolves before he had even met them. He could have turned around and bypassed the territory,  saving everyone trouble.  But there was some unidentifiable urge to call upon a meeting with this packs Alpha.[/size]

[size=large]He had been in search for a pack anyway,  and maybe this would be the one.  The only way to know was to meet with whomever the Alpha may be. He reared his head back, letting out a long, deep, echoing howl, before sitting back on his haunches,  his tail waving calmly as he waited. [/size]
