Stoical, Scimitar hid his confusion at seeing the dark male from the Rise, and offered a nod of his muzzle in silent greeting. Saena was quick to join them as well, and understanding seemed to fall upon him in that moment.
 
They weren’t the only ones who were homeless.
 
“Reek, Saena,” he rumbled quietly, his eyes darting down to his son and casting him a stern look as the growl bubbled from the boy’s jaws. He nudged him before glancing up once more, giving a small nod. “The wood son Nova Peak caught fire in the storm – we’re looking for a new place to settle,” he began carefully, his eyes drifting over both before glancing at the forest. It looked as if this place was taken. “It looks like Redtail Rise didn’t fare much better.”
