Blackfoot Forest New beginnings

The forest was cold and dark after her foray into the summer sun, dappled sunlight falling across her alpine snow coat and sending soft warmth into her body. These woods were beautiful but there was a chill in the air that had nothing to do with temperature. But as she wandered, she picked up the scents of other wolves, two females if her nose was correct.

She happened upon them moments later, an amber wolf and a fae of pitch black fur. They were friendly towards one another, perhaps former acquaintances  and as loathe as she was to interrupt a reunion, she was looking wolves to hang with.

"Hey, name's Sonder."
