Back and forth, the two spoke of home and plans, all-the-while Reek continued to stew in uncomfortable silence. Unfortunately for Mr. Bluenose, Reek held no plans of visiting him at the hollow, and he hoped that his mate would do the same.  However, if she wanted to go— Reek wouldn't keep her from her friend.  Instead, he would reluctantly accompany her.  

Eventually, Mr. Steal-ya-girl turned to limp away and Reek breathed a heavy sigh of relief. The uncomfortable tension that had built in Luke's presence immediately melted away. With every haggard step Luke took away from the Maplewood, Reek could feel the tightness in his chest begin to fade; one he was only a silhouette on the horizon, Reek could breath easy once more.

He turned to his mate and planted a sloppy kiss on the side of her cheek. "Mate huh?" he asked with a much more comfortable smile.  "Let's go get then rest of the pack so we can get this claim started... we can talk all about it on the way."
