After all, she was unlikely to settle from this for a long time, and her heart was still hammering unpleasantly in her chest from fleeing the fire. Even a few days later, she could not calm down, and being close to him helped. "She said your alpha had been in several wars. Is that why you left?"

Whatever the explanation was, if Citali was open to giving one at all, Saena would open up about plans to relocate and extend an offer to Citali and Nochtli, with the promise they could have input on where the pack went.
