Desperate to turn the conversation toward something less personal, Saena glanced back out at the lake surface and asked, "how did you intend to catch one? They stay near the bottom. It's probably a hundred feet deep out there." Much deeper toward the lake's center, surely, but Akela had been nowhere near that. Still, she doubted he could reach down a hundred feet even if he was the world's best swimming wolf.
