Stavanger Bay inspecting the damages

It hurt, it hurt, it hurt. What made this a viable food choice? Did everything on this beach want to kill her? Why wasn't the crab coming off of her face?! So many questions, and nothing about Charon's intentions. Saskia did not trust her ward as much as she perhaps should have, but she didn't believe he had caused this situation - not on purpose. Nobody would do this on purpose. The thought that he had ordered her to get him crab meat as a form of entertainment was foreign to her. And when he moved in to help, her heart swelled with a great relief - his teeth sank in to the claw, pinching at the tip of her caught tongue, and with a crunch she was free.

The crab dropped from her tongue at the very least, and the momentum managed to pull its other claw free of her lip; it tore in to a heavy cut, but she was free.

Which meant that Charon was now very, very close. Perhaps close enough to get some blood sprayed across him, but definitely close enough for Saskia to inadvertently slip her tongue across his snout as she tried to settle it back in to her mouth. As soon as she tasted the brine and felt the fur of his face upon her tongue (or what part of it wasn't turning blue and black right now), she was a bit stunned - had she just kissed him? That didn't count! That... That was an accident!
